Over a year ago we purchased a group of vintage tools from a Tool& Die Estate. The wife of the owner advised her husband bought only quality tools and took very good care of them- I have several listings of these tools on Ebay you may want to review. I have indicated I do not know anything about the use of these tools in my other listings- we have been told by men that are familiar with the tools they are all in very desirable tools for someone in the industry and in good condition. This tool is an exception- it appears to almost not have been used- in original box with the description. So- I can give you the information. This is a VERNIER CALIPER made by CENTRAL TOOL CO. JAPAN. It is in a worn clear plastic sleeve inside the original brown plastic snap holder with the company name and product name on the plastic snap holder. In Original ... morebox with the paperwork. Again- purchased in approx 1970- 80's. On the front of the tool left side it reads"CENTRAL TOOL CO. Mm, 1/1000in. On the right of the tool it reads"STAINLESS HARDENED, PRECISION PRODUCT OF JAPAN. The back of the tool has no markings. Paperwork info. VERNIER CALIPER- This Vernier Caliper may be used for inside, outside and depth measurements. The lock screw on the slide is used when repeat measurements are being made. Reasonable care will insure the long life of this precision tool. A light film of oil on the bearing surfaces of the main beam is recommended for smooth operation. Inside the information- it gives all the information for the"ENGLISH MEASURE- On the lower half of the main beam each inch is divided into ten numbered increments or tenths(100" 200" etc. Each tenth is divided into four increments of.025" each. The vernier scale has twenty-five increments, each represents a thousandths(001" It goes on to give all examples, numbers, etc. which I am not going to type as lengthy. METRIC MEASURE- On the upper half of the main beam each ten millimeters has a number, 1 = 10mm, 2 = 20mm, etc. Each ten millimeters

This is a Central Texas Ancient Indian Blade tip that I found surface hunting one day west of Austin in a dry creek wall. One side looks more uniface but shows edge work while the other side is mainly billet flaked with some pressure flaking on the upper curved side. It may have been a longer blade at one time without the tip& base broken. The color when held to the light resembles rootbeer. The tool measures 2 1/16" wide x 3 3/8" long. These are Central Texas Ancient Indian Blade or Preform& two arrowhead's that I found surface hunting one day west of Austin on a hill side. The little white one I believe is called a Bandy it measures 1 3/16" x 1 1/16" The tip must have been broken off by a cow at one time since it hasn't patinaed like the basal break. The triangle is complete except for that that damaged edge midways up. It measures 1 3/4" x 1 1/8" The blade or preform is rather crude mainly billet flaked& there is a area of cortex on the base below the circular fossil in the flint. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 5/16" This would be a nice addition to your Texas Artifact Collection! Good Luck Bidding!

This is a nice Central Texas Ancient Indian Bi-Face fleshing& scraper tool that I found surface hunting one day west of Austin. It almost looks like a big crude blade but upon better inspection one side has been worked to where it is almost flat while the other side has more of a rounded look to it. The base has been worked to where it resembles a turtle back scraper with a big flat area on one side& on the other side it is worked to where the base edge is still sharp when holding the longer sides in your hand& drawing the tool over the palm of your hand with the flatter side to your palm you can see it would still scrape very well. The tool measures 2" wide x 3 11/16" long. This would be a nice addition to your Texas Artifact Collection! Good Luck Bidding!
