Each appears to float suspended in its sculptural walnut frame.Frequently attributed to Bertha Schaefer but actually produced by Gordon's Inc of Johnson City. Tennessee who during this time period produced many fine pieces accredited to modern Italian masters. Made in 1959. The frames are made of solid walnut and the marble is stamped from Italy. I believe this is a bear from Edna Leki. Though it could be a bobcat or other smaller critter. Carved from white travertine or marble, with a bundle of a spiny oyster shell arrowhead, turquoise and branch coral, this guy stands 2.25" long, 1.375" tall, and 5/8" wide. Edna is one of, if not the earliest woman fetish carver at Zuni, and was the daughter of famed carver/jeweler/painter Teddy Weahkee, as well as being the mother of Dinah Gasper, Anderson Weahkee and Lena Boone.

But all my research concludes that this is a Craft and Associates, Marble Platform Style Sofa possibly designed by Adrian Pearsall. Estimated 1950-1960 Very strong and sturdy construction having a wood frame with travertine marble floating end tables imported from Italy Condition is very good for a vintage piece. But it has very slight wear, a spot in the fabric, some scratches(see pictures) refinishing/reupholstering would make for quite an impressive sofa. The Ivory fabric has raised leaves with gold specks and is in very good condition but could use a cleaning and has a spot. Very rare bedroom set circa 1960s. It is in excellent condition for any age dresser set. Hard enough to find a single piece in this original finish condition let alone a complete set. This fountain/birdbath comes in 3 separate hand carved pieces. The base. Bowl and top lion face. It has never had water in it and is gorgeous. There is a scuff in the base and wear marks where the bowl meets the top, and are very hard to see if at all. These happened during shipment from overseas. I am the first owner of this beautifully hand carved piece. See last 2 pictures for close up to blemishes) There are no cracks or chips. I own a moving company and damaged a customers nightstand top. I purchased one from Craigslist and gave my client the unbroken top. That left me with the base and a broken top. I bonded the two pieces together with a stone mastic. Then I reinforced the bottom with fiberglass mesh and more of the mastic. Then I filled the crack on top with a Travertine repair kit. Overall. Please Get shipping quotes before you bid You can try Plycon.com or Uship or any shipper of your choice. Uship- drivers bid for the lowest price for delivery. They are going to an area anyway and just add an extra shipment. I have had good success, with fast pickup and delivery with reasonable pricing. After they bid on your item, You get to review the shippers feedback and terms, just like on Ebay, before you hire them.
