Fluke Heavy Duty Metal Carrying Case for 8502A,8505A,8506A DMM's
Do you spend your nights worrying what would happen if your Fluke 8502A. 8505A or 8506A multimeter was left at ground zero during an atomic bomb blast? Well we have just the thing to put your mind at ease. This extremely sturdy metal case from John M. Fluke Corp. Ok, the atomic bomb claim might be a little strong- but it will guard the contents against most things short of that) The case comes with custom faceplates to accommodate any of the aforementioned meters. But with a few modifications it could house any item of similar shape. The outside dimensions are approximately 20x21x9 and it weighs(empty) a few ounces shy of 15 pounds. The space between front and rear mounting plates is 15 ½” There are four tabs on the inside rear cover to hold the AC cord& cables, and an overhead rack for the operation manual. There are rubber feet ... moreon the bottom and end(one is missing) and a metal carrying handle. The front and rear snap-on covers seal tightly against rubber gaskets. I wouldn’t throw it in the lake but I’m confident that if the case were left overnight in the rain the meter would still be dry in the morning. See the photos for details. I obtained this when I purchased a Fluke DMM that was housed in it. I love the meter but unfortunately I have absolutely no use for the case. I’m not sure anyone else will either but it’s too well built to throw out so I’m hoping someone has a need for it. Or can repurpose it. Although it looks like something from WWII it probably was made in the 1980’s since that was the peak production period for the units it was made to hold. It has several scuffs and a few small dents on the outside(the dimples on top are not dents but indents for stacking units) The hardware is also included. I should add that this is not the type of case you transport the meter in. Then remove it when you want to use it. The meter stays bolted in the case. Fluke 8502A Digital Multimeter The 8502A Digital Multimeter is a 6.5 digit instrument employing microprocessor control and a bus structure. Memory programming either from the front panel or through a remote interface permits a number of operations to be performed on the measured input before it is displayed. The standard configuration allows for measurement of dc volts in five ranges. Four ranges are available for ac volts when either optional ac converter is installed. Resistance can be measured in eight ranges. Current can be measured in five ranges.
