This auction is for a nice set of all four volumes of the political series. A Biographical Dictionary of The Left" by Francis X Gannon. The first volume was published in 1969 and the last in 1973. The author of these volumes believed that, the most effective way to destroy the threat of Communism is to tell the truth about it and its practitioners, and from this belief the series was born. As you can see, the books do not have their dust jackets, they have some minor edgewear- particularly at the corners and top and base of the spines- and the last owner's name is stamped on the first blank page of each book. The books are otherwise solidly bound and in good condition with crisp, clean pages.

This auction is for four pictured low flow pneumatic valves. The valves are identical but the fittings are somewhat different and can be observed in the photographs. Thre are barbs fir attaching tubing to the valve inputs and outputs. The Alkon valve model number S2323 is listed as an Alkon Sprite Valve with a current list price of $71. No description at the company web site appears to be available. Here is what is easily determined. These valves are powered by ordinary house voltage 115 V AC. The valves appear to be in the same form factor as a"C" contact in a relay. That is the valve transfers the flow from one port to another port. The fittings look like they are for 3/16 tubing and there is at least one filter to ambient atmosphere connected to one of the valves. Interior pages must me white in color and supple to the touch. NEAR MINT+/MINT GRADES. NEAR MINT/ MINT: 9.8 NEAR MINT+: 9.6 This is close to mint with some minor defect. A slight stress line by the staples. The staples themselves are generally centered clean with no rust. Maybe some of the color has chipped or flaked off the cover. And again. The cover is flat with no surface wear; inks are bright with high reflectivity and very little fading. And those tricky corners are cut square and sharp with ever so slight blunting permitted. They both measure 10 1/4 inches by 7 inches. On the spine they say Pennsylvania in the World War The 28th Division and they are volume I and Volume II. They are published in 1921. Volume I has 375 numbered pages and volume II starts at page 376 and goes to 802. They are in good condition and have pictures on almost every page. For a little history: we found these magazines at the bottom of a box full of Atari games on a Garage Sale. The owner hasn't opened this box since mid eighties. We find it typical that TFT nozzle do not have model numbers on their nozzles and rarely put the thread pitch either. The threads on this unit thread onto a 2.5 NH pipe end we have in stock so that is how we identify it as a 2.5 NH. Rare indeed!! 1996 Hong Kong printing McFarlane Spawn Volume 1 2 3 unread cond
Up for auction are three ultra-rare volumes of Todd McFarlane Spawn printed in Hong Kong during 7/1996. 8/1996, and 9/1996 which came originally polybagged in MINT condition. I removed the polybags and placed in 4-mil mylar and two acid free backing boards a little over a year ago because the polybags are not acid free. These are all perfect condition as the day they were issues with razor sharp corners, vibrant gloss on front and rear covers, and beautiful spines. In addition, the advertisement strip is original on each book and was never removed that indicates you must be 18 yrs of age to purchase these items. The black cover is considered the front since these are read from right to left. These are really sweet and gorgeous books and photos do not do justice on these true rare gems. I found these in a collection purchased 15+ yrs ago and ... morehad them stored away from all light in a dark, low humidity, cool room. Since acquiring these books back around 1997, I have never seen any listings of these or surfaced at any shows. Looking at the Spawn sites, international publishers have limitations on number of issues that can be produced based on royalties. Dealers looked at them from these shows and indicated never seen them before, but made offers which I did not accept and held on to them all this time. These are for the ultimate Spawn collector which will only increase value in your collection. The books include top notch supplies for protection such as micro-chamber sheets to prevent yellowing and browning, acid free backing boards and 4 mil mylar.
