Most everything is still being produced and sold by Ludlum. Victoreen and Lionel 700s just that they use their own circuit design and are made in 1959-60. They use the same electrical circuit and board as the Anton Model 6 but use a smaller case(around 20% smaller) In my opinion the smaller size makes them a bit more desirable for backpacks or small cases. I have been trying to figure out how to offer a low cost meter and just can't seem to find one. I refuse take any short cuts on the electrtonics, ... moreso I may offer a few more Model 5s in the future without an external powder coat. This could be the only model 5 I offer that is restored on the outside as well as the inside. I rushed this one to see if I can afford to sell these below $150 while offering a powder coat but it doesn't look like I can. Even though I rused it shaving off a 1/2hr or so it still came out nice.
