The birthday on this grinder is June 30. 1966. It's going to turn 50 years old not too long from now. Surely you've heard the phrase. They just don't make them like they used to. Well that phrase could have been written about bench grinders. They absolutely don't make them as good as they used to, at least in regards to affordable home-owner bench grinders. New ones are cheap imports with cheap parts, even from Sears. They get louder and louder as you use them, eventually failing completely. They use brushes on the motors which wear out and become useless. This is a brushless motor so that can't stop working. The bearings are high quality USA made parts, everything on this grinder was built to last. Good luck finding a USA manufactured bench grinder today unless you want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars. 1950s/60s Hammond organ bench C3 mahogany Portland CV C2 C-3
This is a wooden Hammond bench for the C3. I believe, though it's virtually identical to any C-style Hammond from the late 1940s-1974. Bench seat clean with usual typical wear and tear. Inner hardware missing; the lid is still operable however. Measures approx. 36 x 16 x 24 inches. I believe the wood is mahogany; the bench weighs a solid 29 lbs. One side slab appears a bit discolored perhaps from sun exposure over the years. For pickup in Portland OR 97217- or I can recommend a couple good truckers if you are not local. Or. Beautiful Hammond B3 Organ w/Bench / Pedals Custom Laquer Refinish Mint
This is really a beautiful organ. It is a custom unit and did not start out as a b3 just to be clear, The organ body itself including pedals and bench were completely refinished two years ago by a professionl piano refinsher rebuilder the chassis was completely stripped of all the electronics and all the pieces including each individual pedal and the bench top interior, music stand.etc. etc all the pieces were hand prepped and then sprayed with a piano quality satin laquer it really looks virtually new after being dusted and it has been in my livingroom since it was completed. Heres the best part. the organ itself upper lower manuals preamp, were all removed from an A100 that was in the same womans living room for well over 35 years and was in beautiful condition as well. the preamp was rebuilt and all the tubes and electronics were addressed ... moreby a hammond expert. LOWREY ORGANS By Frank Pugno& Bil Curry In 1906. When the vacuum tube was invented, research into the art of electronic music began almost immediately. Frederick Lowrey produced a working model of an electronic organ in 1918. And until World War II, experimented with many different tone-generating systems. In the late 1940s, the Eccles-Jordan circuit was developed, a very stable generator that was a Lowrey exclusive. In 1941. Lowrey put on the market the famous Organo, an organ-like keyboard placed on the front of a piano keyboard. This was a very successful and brisk competitor of the Hammond Solovox. Unlike the Solovox, which used unconventional stop terminology, the Organo used conventional stop names like Flute, Principal, etc. In 1955. Lowrey came out with its first commercially successful electronic organ. This was the Model S or ... moreBerkshire. It had two 44-note manuals and a 13-note pedalboard, and was very popular for home use. Another spinet model at the same time was the Lincolnwood Model SS, but in 1959, this would become the Lincolnwood 25 Model SSO-25 with two full 61-note manuals and a 25-note pedalboard. The Festival Model FL, also from 1959, was a full console with no bottom like a Hammond B-3. Unlike the B-3, the Festival had its speakers mounted under the tone generator. In 1956. Up for sale is a Baldwin 6 foot 3 inches Grand Piano Model L. This Baldwin Grand measures 6' 3" in length. 4' 10" wide, and 3' 4" tall with the lid closed. This is a vintage Model L. After speaking with a piano technician, this is most likely from the early 1900s. This grand piano had restorations done in the 70s. Features mahogany wood finish. The piano plays well and holds a good tune. I am a professional pianist and have been satisfied with it's performance. The action is responsive, making quick repeated notes effortless. It features a bright sound overall, especially in the mid range, which is is typical of older Baldwins. The top range has a pure mellow tone. The action is not perfect and could use regulation. Bass section is deep and resonant. All notes play. Hammers seem to be in good condition, and ... moretuning pins hold a good tune! All pedals work and respond well. Overall this piano is in fair condition cosmetically. The prior owner had the piano in front of a large window. So the wood shows varied colors(sun stain) as seen in the pictures. It is most prominent on the top of the lid. When the lid is up, this wood color difference is barely noticeable. From the side, the wood shows very well. Expect minor nicks from use(barely noticeable) You will also receive the matching bench. The bench is in good condition with normal signs of use. Inside and out, about 10+ years ago, by Dan Tuttle of Indianapolis(Automatic Instrument Restoration) Dan took it back in trade for another instrument, and sold it to us in 2008. It has been protected in a humidified environment and regularly tuned. Included with the piano is a storage bench and music light. This piano has a beautiful finish. Vintage CAMEL Saddle stool BENCH, Morrocan Leather Decorated, Base folds
This is a Camel saddle from the Middle East. Probably. It has no markings that I can read. The painted leather seat looks like a good grade of Morrocan leather. The sides show a respectable amount of wear which makes me think it dates to the mid 20th century. The brass caps on each end are worn and the design hard to make out. I thought it was writing, but in the photo it looks more like a tree. The Cedar is the symbol for Lebanon, so this might have been made there. That's strictly a guess. It measures about nineteen inches by eleven inches and stands thirteen inches tall. Email if you have questions. Look at this great old piece. It measures 27x12x21" and weighs 27 pounds. It is a sturdy one. The covering I'd say is original. It has worn spots as you can see in photos. It is velvet.
