This auction is for a ZEP DRUM MASTER pump. This appears to be the type that hangs on the wall and has water running to it with a valve to turn on/off. and it has a fitting that appears to fit a 55 gallon drum or a regular water style fitting. There is a mesh filter at the end of the line that goes into the barrel or container(see picture) I bought this at an auction and everything appears to be there but I have not used it. Here is a homemade hydraulic driven water pump. The Cessna pump has the number 23308 on it and pumps out 13 gallons per minute. The Jabsco water pump is a one inch pump. And has the numbers 777-0001 on it. In the center of them, is a Lovejoy coupler. Everything is connected to an iron plate, that is very heavy and has surface rust. There is no damage or wrench marks on the glands and check valve cover. The paint appears original with a few small handling chips. The paint on the upper side of the the bronze base casting is thin and absent in places. The ball checks are free and functional, the piston slides smoothly. Metal surfaces are dark with age. There is some light rust on the lever and lever retaining pins, the cotter pins are made of brass and are rust-free. I was tempted to clean the lever with fine emery cloth and steel wool, but this pump is original"as found" and any cleaning is better left to the purchaser. The item listed is a small. 2-cylce, gas engine water pump. I have had the pump for some time now but never used it. The owner's manual has been misplaced, so I'm not sure of the specifications of the unit, but the engine looks to be in the 30 to 40cc range. Not sure of the GPH, but the intake and discharge fittings will accept a hose with a 1" ID. I put some gas in it(used 20:1 mix ratio) put the intake and discharge hoses in a tub of water and fired it up. It ran great! Even at half throttle, it pumps some serious water, possibly 1200 to 1500 GPH. In reality, this is a new unit, as you can see from the pictures, but since there is no box or manual, I listed it as"used" If you need a light, handy water pump that really puts out, this may be the one. This is a used Pumptec 500 PSI carpet extractor pump. That quit working on me, I was going to rebuild the pump, before it broke. I even purchased the rebuild kit, valve kit 10022 and paid 54 dollars for it, so I am including it in this auction. I used this pump since it was new 7 years ago, with no problems and then one day it quit, the sound it made was a buzzing sound like the armature bearing may have went out and locked the motor down? When I switch the switch on, it just buzzes. Maybe you have the time to rebuild this pump, and have a use for it in your own machine? There is no guarantee this pump is operational, selling for parts only, I can say this about it, one or the other works, either the pump head or the motor it self, I imagine that both did not quit at the same time, so one or the other might be good? Could and will make a great yard piece, Mailbox stand, or a little work, pipe it with a small electric water pump, and have it feed an old oak barrel. VINTAGE WATER PUMP, COPPER/BRASS/BRONZE & IRON. WORKING. 30", w/ foot/knee rests
Offered is a tested and working vintage hand operated water pump. Measures a good 30 inches tall. No electricity needed.just pump. Made from brass. Copper, bronze, and cast iron on its knee and foot rests. Wood handle. A wood base is on the knee& foot rest. Water sucks in from the base pipe(screened) on the unit when pumped, and shoots out the upper bib.either into your hose which can be attached. Or free flowing as was when I tested it. Worked well. No brand name found on the exterior. Old solder residue on the brass near the upper bib. not sure if this was a prior repair or sloppy solder job) When I tested the pump, no water came out of this area. If it was a repair.it was done successfully. This unit was lightly cleaned but not polished in case one likes the antique patina finish. I used a rock to balance the pump when taking photos- ... moreit is not included nor in the shipping weight. Pump is in one piece. With moving parts secured well. The knee and foot rest is level and straight and secure with no wiggles, though it appears has been bent in some photos. Thank you.
