Not a Chinese imitation. Industrial/Commercial grade. The pump fires right up. And works. Extremely efficient vs gas or electric pumps. The key will need to be redone, as I have lost it. That is the only thing wrong with this pump, and I haven't used the key in a year. I touch two wires together and it runs like a champion when called upon.
