4500 SCBA 66cf fiber wrap tank w/CGA-347 for PCP air rifle"New/old stock"READ"
Here is an opportunity for any"PCP AIRGUN" enthusiast to pick up a good 4500psi SCBA air tank to fill his or her pcp pellet pistol or rifle. This tank is not hydro tested and I don't know the in's and out's of inspections and hydro tests because I have my own high pressure air compressor to fill 4500psi tanks. The large 66 cubic foot(cf) was never used until a year ago(old stock see pic) and has been filled about a 6 times by me. I did some research on these types of HPA SCBA tanks and the USA takes major. Over the top precautions on these tanks and hydro's and for good reason. It's because a fireman wears one on his back thus doesn't need an explosion happening due to fatigue. Now in Europe the same SCBA tanks are used for a 30 year span, twice the given use lifespan above the 15 year lifespan as in the ... moreUSA. I would imagine they are also very conservative like us to help protect the European fireman from carrying a faulty tank. So in reality taking the 30 year European use, this tank probably would last for many many years beyond that projected life use in order to make sure their firemen are safe to carry them on their backs. So with that it possibly would last maybe up to 40- 50 years.just a guess as I am not a specialist but there are very few if any recorded blow-ups on firemens backs. As you can see I took a picture of the tank with around 4000psi still in it because I am presently using it and you can see how mint it is. There are 2 small chips on the plastic valve cover becuase of my custom twin tank carrier, but the chips DO NOT effect the tank in any way whatsoever. I am selling it because I have way too many an need to thin the herd. And I have another one for sell in another auction. I have added a tank carry strap and custom cradle(oak) that is perfect for transporting to your place of fun! I only sell to the lower 48 states and only accept PayPal. I got this cascade manifold with a compressor I bought. I can't find any pressure rating on the hose but I believe the system was being used to fill scba cylinders in the 1800-2400 psi range. This is a vintage Scott- Air-Pak and I was assured it still works. I have not tested the unit and cannot make any guarantees. I did try out the mask which makes a good seal and everything connects securely. Normal signs of wear and as you can see from the pictures and some minor surface degradation on the chrome. This model used to be called the Scott Pak and the person I got it from said this was all original. Still in working order, and has been in storage since they received new SCBAs. He also seemed to think it had some value as a collectors piece to fire fighters or others that collect fire fighting equipment.
