Pair of Scott SCBA Masks - AV-2000 & Older one.
Hello, After 28 years of various ranks(From Probie. To Lieutenant, to Captain, to Medic, to Assistant Chief, to Deputy Chief) and responsibilities(EMS Coordinator. And District Safety Chief at retirement. in the fire service, I retired in November 2011, but continue to find stuff that I no longer need! This auction is for a pair of used, but in awesome shape Scott SCBA masks. One is a newer AV-2000, and an older one(Both fit the same regulator) I found boxed up in our dehumidified/ dry basement. The AV-2000 was a backup that I had in my wife's(POV) vehicle. I bought it used, so I have no history on it, but I can tell you it did see a couple fires protecting my lungs, but never excessive heat. So, there is some smoke residue, but absolutely no crazing! Neither mask have any cracks, damage, or dry rot. The AV-2000 has Kevlar netting and ... morestraps, while the older mask just has high temp nylon that I picked up over the years. MSA Ultralite II SCBA Pressure Demand Air Mask with Audio + Regulator. Harness& Case This auction is for an MSA Ultralite II SCBA Pressure Demand Air Mask. Complete unit. Except for the air cylinder. Mask is size medium with Ultravue facepiece, and has a battery powered audio speaker box attached. Former city fire department property. Removed from service when they purchased new SCBA's and functional when last used, to the best of my knowledge. I have several of these available, all essentially in the same condition as the example shown. The audio box is powered by a standard 9V battery and allows for external voice projection through its speaker. It has a power-on indicator light, and can be switch selected to always on, PTT, or off, and it is working fine. Mask straps are all intact& provide a tight seal and the breathing valve ... moreoperates correctly, with flexible air hose& no leaks. The harness straps are all in good shape, and the belt latch& bottle tightening mechanism are both OK. The control knobs on the regulator turn smoothly, but I can't check the regulator or alarm unit since I have no pressure cylinder, so that portion of the unit is untested& sold"as is" though it is probably fine. Mask lens has some light scratching from prior use, but visibility is still very good. Case is in nice condition, and mask includes a soft storage bag. Because of size& weight and to keep shipping cost as low as possible, unit will ship via FedEx unboxed in the case itself.
