As a Machinist I have worked with all types of castings over the last 30+ years. I operate large machinery 10 hours a day. This gives me plenty of time to resurface these antique postal doors. After over a century of abuse and neglect, there is beauty lying just beneath the surface. This Red Bronze#2 size 1890 Corbin US door is a perfect example. I remove the old damaged surface and give it a new one. The original beveled glass is in great condition. Comes with 1 new Key. The original patina has been left on the inside to show its age. The hardware and the front that is exposed in the cabinet has been resurfaced. A beautiful cabinet deserves a beautiful door. No coating has been applied.
