THESE ARE NICE ROLLS! This roll was found by a gentleman who was settling his Great Uncles Estate. He said the safe was untouched for some time and he believed it had been from the early to late 60's since anyone had been in it based on the documents he found in there. Apparently his Great Uncle was a collector of coins and a bit reclusive as well. Thus I purchased ALL of the rolls like this one and they will be sold off one roll at a time. Based on the wrapper. This roll looks as though it has been sitting for a long time. I only opened one roll. Because it fell apart durning transport, and the coins were very nice, no junk! Multiple Indian Heads along with a good assortment from all decades including two pre-40's mint marks! The ends are very crude but I'd hate to tamper with them so they will be left as I bought them. Antique Victorian G. Silver Forget Me Nots Match Safe / Vesta Case
This is one of several antique and extreme vintage smalls and miniatures that were purchased this week at an estate sale. All of the items were displayed in a large shadow box and looked amazing. Take a look at all of them and if you find more than one you love. I'll happily combine shipping. All breakable items will be packaged in a box(no envelopes) for safe travel in the mail. This is a gorgeous Victorian match safe or vesta case. It features a beautiful design of forget-me-nots tied in an elaborate bow. It is marked G. SILVER on the rim. I cannot find any other maker's marks. An area at the top of the case. There was some waxy substance that was used to hold the items in the shadow box. It looks as if it took the silver down to a copper metal underneath it. Please see pic#5 for a close-up of this area. The hinge works perfect ... moreand the lid closes tight down on the body with no gaps. There is a small dent on the edge of the lid. This case displays beautiful with tarnish in the crevices highlighting the beautiful decoration. It is 2 5/8 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide and 3/8 of an inch thick.
