Antique"Rapid Washer" metal base with wooden stick handle. There is some minor surface rust on the metal part. Otherwise it is in good shape. The measurements of this item is 27" tall and 8" wide at the base. Weighs 1 3/4 pounds. I haven't seen one of these before, so I believe it was possibly from the 1940's? I couldn't imagine doing laundry with this.

Vintage 1941 Spindrier Easy Washer from Syracuse NY White Metal Novel Home Decor
Item: This auction listing is for a vintage 1941 Spindrier Easy Washer. Complete with"The Easy Way to Easy Washdays" booklet. I only used the washer as a novel home decor piece, so I don't know if it is operational or not. It still has the electrical cord(wound underneath) which looks to be in good shape, and hose intact. The underside does have foil covering some sort of mechanical part that drips oil on rare occasion(perhaps a drop or two out of the foil every couple of months) The white exterior has some wear(dings, scratches, rust spots, natural patina, and so forth) but I liked it that way, so I did not alter the piece in any way(purchased at an antique store in Asheville, NC) The casters are fully functional and allow for easy mobility of the washing machine. The washer measures approximately 39" tall by 32" ... morelong at its widest points. The booklet has wear-tape on outside spine, creasing, discoloration, a few tears, and some stains. The item pictured is the item you will receive. All of my items are from a smoke-free and pet-free home. Condition: This item is in pre-owned condition. As a child(I'm now in my late 60's) I remember my mother using a Maytag wringer washer down in the basement. This 21 page 5"x 8" booklet accompanied the washer and was stored on a nearby shelf. You can see from the pictures that it was often used and although stained, the pages are intact, complete, and readable. There is a small tear on the back cover.please look at the photos. The pictures show the stains which are primarily at the front and back. Reading the booklet is a step back in history.not only in how to use the wringer washer. But in the other laundry tasks of bluing, tinting, and starching. It further explains how to oil the casters and put petroleum jelly on the agitator drive shaft. In reading the instructions, one can certainly appreciate modern appliances! I ship very promptly when payment has been made.

This is a lovely hand carved soap stone brush washer. It could be Shoushan stone but I'm not sure. My guess is that it is from the 1950's. The soap stone is natural and is carved in the shape of a lotus blossom. The brush washer measures about 5 1/4" inches long by 5 1/4" inches wide by 1 1/4" inch tall. It is in good condition. There is wear on the edges and bottom and there are internal crazes. There is one large craze that can be seen in the last picture.
