Barrett Ride-On Electric Pallet Jack. 6,000 Capacity AND CEN 80 Charger This is a Barrett 6.000 pound capacity electric walk/ride-on pallet jack with approximately 937 hours. I am at least the 3 rd owner of this lift and cannot 100% guarantee that the hours listed on the hour meter are actual hours but that is how many hours it has on it. The model number is WRP-60-27X48 and serial number G-38 30976. This is a 24 volt model with a 6” lift. All of the buttons function and everything does what it is supposed to do when said button is pressed. I purchased this unit in November of 2009 and have used it a total of maybe(10) hours. I purchased this specifically to load/unload 4.500 pound steel parts in dry vans in conjunction with my forklift(I had a close call with a manual pallet jack rolling said large parts from the back of the trailer to the ... morefront and NOT being able to stop it once it got going, I needed something with brakes! Obviously I don’t have a dock and this solved both problems… Any ways. I no longer ship these parts and it is just taking up space. In my opinion. The truck itself is in great shape. The battery has“10/7/03” written in sharpie on it. I have no idea if this was an install date. Replacement date, or any other meaning. I don’t claim to know much about batteries but this one will hold a charge and does power the unit. Also. I have never used this unit for more than an hour at a time and then it would sit for months if not years until it was used again so I have no idea how long it will run on a single charge. If you are planning on using this unit all day long. I would recommend a new or a new-used battery. However. If you plan on using it for a few moments here and there, it*should* work for a while BUT this is an old battery. Then they added a 24 volt Crown Walkie Pallet Jack(Model 40GPW-4-14) The electrical system has been rewired so the batteries operate both the walkie and the BHS. Pick up and pull the battery into the BHS on the rollers. Use the walkie to transport the battery where you need it, roll it back out. Done. The battery charger is built-in and runs on standard 120 volt current. All works as it should. Has 4- 6 volt truck type batteries wired in series. The batteries hold a charge but seem to weaken after a bit. We charged them the first day and moved the unit into its storage place. 4 or 5 days later w/o another recharge, we went to move it and while it moved fine and raised and lowered and moved the BHS unit in and out ... morebut all seemed a bit weak. In other words, the batteries may need to be replaced, not right away but probably sooner than later. Sold as is and as represented here. Side note. In the carriage of the BHS there are two lift truck forks shown in the photos. I did not pay any attention to them when I shot the photos. The forks do NOT come with this unit and in fact, they are all ready long gone. If I do get a chance to take more photos, I will make changes.
