FRC Skull Saver Ladder Boot Used ~24" ladder size
Bought it but found it was too big for the narrow 16" ladders on our fire engine. And have since purchased another skull saver here on eBay(thanks to some nifty folks in a NJ FD) It came to us used but seemingly in like-new condition; was on our engine for six months. Left the indoor quarters maybe six times during that time, and is still in pretty rockin' condition. No rips, tears, the straps are still in great condition. The metal clip keeping the thing from flying down the road is not nearly as factory-new shiny, but otherwise fine. Only markings are those shown in the photo. Which could probably be erased with a bit of nail polish remover or an alcohol swab(just black Sharpie) but not wanting to blemish what's walking out the door, we're not going to mess with it. Which had rotted, have been replaced with fitted popular step/shelves. The wood has been stained ebony which enhances the gentle grain. The top step/shelf measures 9.25” x 19.50” and the three lower step/shelves measure 9.25” x 12.75” The shelves have been removed. Labeled and wrapped for shipping.
