This great looking Tonka Suburban Fire/ Pumper Truck was made in 1956 and was the first pumper made by Tonka. They had started making toy fire trucks in 1954/5. But these were ladder trucks only. This truck is in very nice original condition and comes with its original threaded fire hydrant and hoses and its ladder. It has some paint scratches on the body and in the bed, but I do not believe it saw too much play time as it is in very good condition. The Tonka decals have darkened with age, but are still in great shape. It also includes the Tonka decal on the bottom. The thin black hose on the hose reel is still intact, but has some cracks as shown in the picture of the rear of the fire truck. This truck is about 17 inches long, 6 inches wide and 6-1/4 inches tall. This great looking Art Deco Fire/ Ladder truck was made by the Turner Toy Company in Ohio in the late 1940's I believe. This truck is in nice shape. It has some scrapes in the paint but I do not believe it saw too much play time as it is in very good condition. It is all original and still retains its three original ladders. ANTIQUE 1920's STEELCRAFT TOY FIRE TRUCK - LADDER TRUCK - CITY FIRE DEP'T
Hard to find STEELCRAFT FIRE TRUCK. The truck has some issues but is mostly complete. Missing the 2 ladders and a corner bracket on the back below the bumper. This is visible in my 5th picture. On one side the bracket is bent but present. The other one is missing. Paint is flaking off, mostly on the underside. Looks like it was stored in a hot attic space which caused the paint to peel. The Steelcraft label is missing but the shape left behind is the shape of a Steelcraft label. A nice old truck to be enjoyed as is or a great canidate for restoration. This is a pedal fire truck made by AMF an original. Not a reproduction. It measures about 44 inches long by 16 inches wide by 19 inches tall to the top of the ladder rails. It is missing a few items, like the ladders, the bell is there but you will need to run a new string so they can clang it. If you live close you can pick it up to save on the shipping. Vintage 1950s Plastic Lapin Product'46 Ford similar stake truck and Marx similar fire truck with ladder. Lapin Product(Newark. NJ) truck in excellent condition. When you pick it up, it sometimes loses its plastic rear wheels. Other than that it's near perfect though a bit dusty. The other plastic fire truck is a Marx or Sterling plastic truck with elevating ladder. Ladder is slightly bent as are a couple of its rungs. Both are 4.5 inches long. Fire truck has no markings underneath.
