Antique French deco embroidered ladder stitched linen sheet top with monogram Initial MTL This is one of approximately 500 antique French monograms left over from my cushion making days. I used to hold up to 2000 at a time and recycle them into cushions. Bolsters and lampshades. Some are single and others double monograms, in most cases the damaged fabric has been cut away leaving just this incredible hand sewn embroidery. Each piece of embroidered linen was hand-crafted. Usually by family members and served as the dowry of each female. In each case I will give you the monogram dimensions as well as the dimension of the surrounding fabric. This is the top. Embroidered part of a double antique French sheet. The embroidery is absolutely gorgeous in a diamond shape and with really raised letters. The ladder stitch runs the width of the sheet ... moretop. Antique New England Shaker Ladder Back Arm Chair W / Splint Seat

I bought it at an estste sale and the family did not know which community it came from. The joints and slats are tight and chair is very sturdy for its age. The splint seat has two small holes. But is still useable. My family has sit in it the last two weeks and is very sturdy. On the underneath seat their are small areas of green paint. The chair has been stripped and refinished in a walnut stain. The slats and legs have some nicks and scratches from normal wear. The legs have 5 1/2" extensions to make chair taller which maded by the shakers. If I didn't tell you you wouldn't notice them. The extensions could easily be removed.
