No corrosion in battery box- metal hinged cover. 13 1/2" long. I don't think this toy was ever played with judging from the cleanliness. Lack of scuffs or scratches, and no wear on the tires. This pair of ladder back. Rawhide woven seat chairs were handcrafted by craftsmen from the Aurora Colony in the late 1800’s. The back of the chairs are marked“HCH” which stands for Hutchinson Community Hospital that was a maternity hospital in Oregon City, Oregon in 1918 and later became Willamette Falls Hospital, now owned by Providence Medical Group. These chairs were in the possession of a relative whose grandmother was a nurse at that Hutchinson Community. The chairs are in good condition. All original. One has a very small amount of wiggle to it and looks to have been repaired with a few nails at some point. They are lovely accent pieces for a rustic décor/Old Camp Style.

The person I bought it from stated it was from the Los Angles County Fire Department. I have own the ladder for four years it has been on a fire engine I owned. This master/table salt is called Jacob's Ladder. The original name is Maltese. It was made by Bryce/U. S. Glass. Ca 1885-1895, which makes it about 130 years old! It has a beautiful pointed scalloped rim, and the bowl features the dazzling look of a ladder or steps. There is a 12-point rayed star in the footed base. Measuring 2-7/8" diameter and 2-7/8" tall, which is a generous size for holding something, or if on display, will catch attention by the size and pattern. It can be referenced in the book, 5.000 Open Salts A Collector's Guide. By Heacock and Johnson, 3580. The accompanying 2002-03 Rarity& Price Guide shows it is SCARCE. It's in excellent condition! The piece measures 29.5 inches tall by about 16 inches wide by about 15 inches deep closed and when opened it measures about 23 inches deep. It is an attractive piece with great curvy lines and super original varnish and fabric. It works like a conventional item meaning one just pulls down on the ladder portion and it is ready for use. Unique, Country, Jacobs Ladder Quilt. Hand Tied. Nice Period Fabrics. 81 x 68
This lovely old quilt has a unique look and feel and based on the fabric on the back I would estimate that it was completed in the 1930s. Many of the fabrics on front appear to have originated from an earlier era. So I think that it's possible that the top was created in the 1890-1910 period and the quilt was finished a few decades later. The size is 81 x 68 Medium weight batting and it is unusually firm and compact for a tied quilt. It could be cotton or wool. The backing is a fantastic floral print in aqua blue. Rose and yellow and this fabric is turned forward and stitched closed with a blanket type cross stitch to form the binding. using red thread) For the Jacobs Ladder design on front the quilter used a variety of colorful period prints and solids. As noted above many of these fabrics have the look and feel of textiles from the ... more1880-1910 period. Hand tied with both red and green yarn. I believe that some if not all of the piece work was also done by hand. Excellent vintage condition. I don't believe that this quilt saw very much use before going into storage. I haven't seen any holes. Tears or stains. Looking closely I have seen a few places with some light/ small spotting.

LAAF Collection Climbing Ladder Gnome
This adorable LAAF gnome is a rare collectible. He is approx. 24" long and is in excellent condition. He has a serial number on the bottom of his shoe but it is very faded. He has the Laaf Coin imbedded in the back of his shirt. Some dust in some of the deep crevices from being on display but I will clean him up as best as possible. Comes from a smoke free home.
