Features: I have tested the toy to be in full working order with an operating mechanical wind-up motor and a ladder that pops up to 38" high when the truck runs into an obstruction. Hello and welcome. Original 1953 Smith Miller L Mack fire truck main ladder with a great set of gears that work smoothly as they did when new. No cracks. Breaks, or repairs to any of the aluminum castings. These parts were removed from a complete working truck. Parts have been inspected and tested. With this gear set, you can raise the complete ladder assembly to any desired position and it will stay there with no gear skipping or jumping. These gears show very little wear. The original finish on the ladder and tiller wheel has been lightly painted over with silver enamel which could easily be removed if desired.
