Vintage Tonka Pressed Steel Ladder Attachment. It just needs the truck to latch onto; perfect if your building one of these and need this piece- the wheels move well. The ladder pivots and moves as it should; rest on the bed correctly. The only negatives are it squecks just a tiny bit when you swing the ladder(prob some wd-40 would take care of it) and it has a little bit of minor paint loss.

This one has some age on it, and you can tell by the paint missing on the sides, that it's been loved a lot. We found this at an estate sale in South Bend, Indiana, along with a whole lot of model vehicles. No original boxes, and most had signs of wear, but they still have a lot of fun left in them. This one's a fire truck. With the ladder on top that rises and lowers and swivels. We don't know the original catalog number or the scale. Size: It does measure 4" long. 2" tall and 1 1/2" wide. Antique folding library chair. Very cool; flips over and turns into a small ladder/ step stool. Made of solid oak as far as I can tell. I believe these were originally sold via Pottery Barn. I purchased it from an Estate and the owner said it had come from Pottery Barn(further research seems to confirm this also) It's in very good condition and very well made; very solid. There is a little hook which was attached to the side with two screws; I removed them because I was going to make an insert on the lathe to secure them a little better. 1890 MAPLE WOOD LADDER FROM FARM GRAINERY FROM NE OHIO
Last Oct. I removed old siding(Yes. It's for sale) and the old interior ladder from this grainery at my sister's farm in northeastern Ohio. Farm house was built in 1890, and I assume this building was also built the same year. Building has sawn and ax hewn lumber, and both square and round nails, which confirms 1890 as the probable date of construction. The grainery was built almost entirely of maple, hard maple, perhaps some beech woods. The clay earth and swampy landscape of southern Ashtabula County produced many of these trees. Farmers would cut trees from their land, haul them to a sawmill nearby, and use the lumber for their out buildings. This ladder was nailed at the far end of the grainery, and the farmer could climb it to get to the second floor. Ladder appears to be made of maple, is about 93" long, or a little less ... morethan eight feet long. Width is 24" I guess the weight at around 30 lbs. Item was stored in garage all winter. Buyer will get a photo as provenance. Ladder is now located here in NW Ohio, near Fostoria. A pickup truck or van without seats will be needed to retrieve ladder. Thanks for looking!

Vintage Tonka Marx Fire Truck MFD No 5 Pressed Steel Life Net Aerial Ladder
Let me first state that I am not an expert on these. So will describe as best I can. From my research this is a Tonka or Marx Aerial Ladder Fire Truck from the 1950's. Some say it is an early model and the MFD stands for Marx Fire Dept. Other sources say it is a Tonka and the MFD stands for Mound Fire Department, the town where Tonka operated from. So, whichever side you are on, we are covered. I will say that the wheels actually do say Tonka on them. Regardless, this is a really nice and cool fire truck that is a real survivor. It will display very nicely as-is, or would be a great candidate for restoration. Your call. Overall. I would say it is in very good to excellent condition. Again, I am not an expert, so I have no idea how to grade these. I am putting up plenty of photos so you can judge for yourself. It has definitely been played ... morewith. But not abused! All parts appear to be here and everything works. Ladder goes up and down and extends. It also has both of the ladders on the lower rack and they appear not be bent or damaged, which is rare from what I understand. It really needs a good cleaning to make it look nice, but not knowing the best way, I am leaving that to the buyer. I don't want to damage it by doing it the wrong way. I don't see any dents. Damage or rust on the truck. All the decals seem to be intact and in good condition. It does have some paint loss and scratches here and there. I try to show them in the pictures. The paint also seems a bit dull, and not very shiny. But, that could be because it is dirty, or maybe even supposed to appear that way. Again, by no means an expert here. Biggest defect I can see is that the platform the aerial ladder swivels on seems to be a bit bent. It still rotates fine. It just seems to be a bit bent up, like someone pulled on the extended ladder or something. The rubber wheels have some white oxidation sort of stuff on them, but I imagine that would be easy to clean up with some Armor-All or something. The metal wheels are also kind of oxidized an

This is a very nice approx 10" long pressed steel fire ladder truck that was made by Wyandotte Toys in the 1940's. The truck cab is pressed steel and the body is steel& tin with a plastic ladder. Seat, and driver. Comes with the original box in rough shape. CONDITION: The truck has overall wear and scratching as shown. The plastic ladder is broken out at the posts on the sides and has glue residue from a prior repair. One side post on the ladder is broken short The box is very rough and has torn off and missing end flaps, holes, tears, and is taped all over one end.
