The outer shell is in really good shape, no dents anywhere, some verdigris is evident but that only adds to the patina. The hose shows its age but isn't frayed and the nozzle is in good shape. VINTAGE COPPER ELKHART BRASS CO. SODA ACID FIRE EXTINGUISHER
This is an empty copper soda acid fire extinguisher made by the Elkhart Brass MFG. Co. of Elkhart. Ind. and it is"The Elkhart" model. That's how the brass label reads. This is the 2 1/2 gal. size and stands about 2 feet tall. It is in very good condition for something about 70+ years old. It has a couple of small dents on the backside. One is on the lower half between the hose and the row of rivets and this can bee seen in the pictures. The other is near the bottom just to the left of the rivets but it does not show up well in the pic's. There are some small scratches but the pictures do show the condition of the extinguisher. As you can see, it displays very well. This has been polished and lacquered for years of care free enjoyment. The hose is good and it still has it's lead nozzle. Lead nozzles were replaced with ... moreplastic ones over time. This was due to the fact the lead nozzle would sometimes get banged or bumped and flatten out the soft lead tip. This would cause the hose to explode when the extinguisher was used. This has it's acid bottle holder, glass acid bottle, and lead stop. As you can see in the pictures, the brass label has this magnificent stag on the label which makes this model of soda acid extinguisher highly sought after. 1970 Vintage Sanford model WP-41 2 1/2 Gallon Water Fire Extinguisher.
Freshly cleaned with Mean Green in a spray bottle and then hosed off. Some embedded dirt may remain. Maybe some on the hose but not much. Freshly tested as well. Sanford Model WP-41 water fire extinguisher. Holds pressure. Intact remaining test schedule sticker claims to have been last checked in 1974. Printed on label 1970 on the bottom 1/2 of the right hand side. No dents in tank. Handle in great looking and working shape. Pin& Chain present. Hose looks really good. No dryrot. Only a few small stubborn stains. Mostly near the tip. Tip of hose fine. Snaps ninely in it`s holder. Insides look good. A little calcification on the end of the pipe descending into the tank. Is empty and main fitting hand tight only. Easily tightens with a pair of channel lock pliers. These are great to have around if you`re a fire pit guy/gal. Or if you burn ... moreyour own brush or garbage. With a full charge you can easily hit something 50 feet away. 60 feet. Maybe 65 if you arc it right, but 50 feet level shot no problem. I washed off my mailbox from the other side of the road with this and it`s playmates during testing/cleaning time.

Measures aprox. 29" long with the pump all the way in. The bracket is 25" long No dents at all. A couple of rust pin holes and that is it. Nice piec e and scarce.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD AND VIEW ALL PICTURES! You are looking at an Antique Pyrene Brass Anti-Freeze Fire Extinguisher Class A-1. Very Old. Early 1900's and GREAT piece. YES, this one is all brass(extinguisher and info plate) and seemless, unlike others I have polished. I fully polished It to a mirror-like finish. I re-painted the brass cap in Green and Painted the raised letters you see on the Brass Info-Plate back to the exact way It was(Green) when I got It. I don't know if It is correct but It looks GREAT this way and is similar to others I have seen. NOW. Keep in mind that this is an 80 plus year old Fire Extingisher and has some slight imperfections but a lot less that you would think on an item of this age. PLEASE look at the pics I have supplied. This is an all brass vintage General Quick Aid foam fire extinguisher. This thing is absolutely gorgeous. I have seen many beautiful fire extinguishers but for me this is the prettiest one. It was professionally buffed and nearly looks like brass chrome. The label on the front is brass as well and the whole thing just looks great. It has the original hose and nozzle. The top is polished as well. There are just a couple very small dings that have been polished as well and are hard to notice. I believe the auction winner will be very pleased. WELCOME! This is a no reserve auction for: A copper and brass embossed UNIVERSAL. AMERICAN FIRE EQUIPMENT Co. fire extinguisher made in BOSTON MASS. This includes the original handle, cover, internal“acid” bottle, bottle‘cap’ and hanger… all in good unrestored condition. I’m unsure if the hose is original as it seems a bit long… it is from the appropriate period though. This is approx. 20 inches high and 5-6 inches wide. The tank has quite a few dents. Most normal and a few larger as seen in the photos. Great set of original filling and maintenance instructions on the brass plate, as well as the UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES inspection plate. Even unrestored. This draws a lot of conversation and displays well in my home. Note- the cover. While I think its brass has a very nice copper tone to it…so I’m unsure of the metal used to cast this but ... moreit looks great. Overall.
