Some parts are tarnished(especially the top lamp portion) But overall it's in very good condition. The hose is completely stiff(I don't know if it's supposed to be that way) The electrical wire runs through the hose. Into the extinguisher, and out to the very top where the light bulb should be situated. Additionally. A lamp shade can be connected to the top. For auction is what I believe to be a Pyrene fire extinguisher. The label is missing and I am unable to find any writing on it. It measures approximately 14 inches long closed and 21 inches long with the hand pump handle extended. There is some rust and white material on it. This no reserve auction is for an old copper& brass Buffalo fire extinguisher that has been converted to a lamp. It was made by the Buffalo Fire Appliance Corp. Buffalo, NY. Overall condition is good and the finish is highly polished. Please note that, because of size and cost of shipping, the shade is not included in this auction. The 10" lamp shade harp shown is included but- depending on the shade used- can be easily replaced for one of appropriate size if necessary. The hose is original and in very good condition. As are the brass crimp fittings and lead( nozzle. Brass labeling on the front is also in good condition. Note that rather than give the entire brass label a high polish. I attempted to polish the lettering while preserving as much of the original background color as possible. Rare Antique Goodyear Rubber Co. Fire Extinguisher Lamp. This is an all original copper fire extinguisher from I believe the early 1900's. Made of copper with copper rivets. It has brass plaques on the front the top one stating"Goodyear Rubber Co. Gold Seal 1872" 2 1/2 Gallons. Tested 350 lbs. It has been made into a lamp and includes a copper lamp shade. It has some staining and tarnish to the copper that I am sure can be polished out. Also it looks easy enough to remove the lamp if you don't want it. It measures 33" tall to the top of the light fixture. It weighs over 12 pounds with out the lamp shade. This is a nice, rare all original piece. Please see all photos. VINTAGE COPPER & BRASS "WILBUR" FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITH BRACKET
This is an empty vintage copper and brass fire extinguisher made by the Wil-X-M'fg. Corporation of New York. It was made for the Lasota Mfg. Co. of Albert Lea. MN and it is the Wilbur model. The top triangle label on the top has the LMCo which stands for Lasota Mfg. Co. The patent dates puts this to the 1930's. This has been polished and lacquered. It is 14" long and comes with it's wall mount bracket which has a new coat of black paint. This has no dings, no dents and as you can see in the pictures, it displays very well. The T handle moves in and out as designed. The main body of the extinguisher is copper and the labels are brass as are the pieces on the top. WELCOME TO MY AUCTION For sale today is this used hand held vintage brass fire extinguisher. Painted red with vertical ribs on the cylinder. With two black identification bands, nothing printed on the cylinder. Some of the red paint is worn off and it has some scuffs but I don’t see any dents. By the lettering on the ID bands I believe this extinguisher was not made in the USA. Some of the writing is as follows. NYPO BE THP, Tetpaxa, All readable but not understandable. Has a lot of different letters or symbols in the description. I have taken some pictures of the printing for you. It measures 14in. overall has a brass handle with writing on it also. This auction is for a vintage Shur-Stop fire extinguishing grenade with hanging bracket from the 1930's. The Shur-Stop Grenade was billed as. The Automatic Fireman on the Wall" The grenades were made to be thrown at the base of a fire and shatter. When manufactured, they contained carbon tetrachlcoride, which is a fire retardent, designed to snuff out the fire. It was made by the International Fire Equipment Corporation of Staten Island, NY. This offering includes the glass globe(small hole in bottom to drain the liquid) hanger bracket with metal logo, and back clasp. The bracket is in excellent condition with a metal label with a fusible link that will cause the sign to fall off and the grenade(if there was one contained within the holder) to fall and shatter. VINTAGE BRASS RARE 1958 GENERAL QUICK AID FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITH MOUNT
This is a vintage EMPTY brass fire extinguisher made by The General Detroit Corp. and it is the Quick-Aid model. It is the 1qt. size and is about 14” long and comes with it's mounting bracket which has a new coat of maroon paint. This has been polished and lacquered and has NO dings and NO dents. As you can see in the pictures. It displays very well. The label still retains most of it's original paint. The T handle moves in and out as designed. The T handle also has a new coat of brass tone paint as when new. Someone did a lot of research on the web site and that site states that General fire extinguishers were featured in Chris-Craft catalogs from 1937 thru 1960. This model is NOT shown on this site. This is a 1958 model and has a 58 just below the CALIF. on the label. This is a model that you don't see very often. This would ... moremade a great addition to your vintage boat. I'm guessing teens to 1920's, 12 1/4" x 2" in diameter. Empty, no cap with rust and holes at top, some loss of paint on back from bracket and paint from someone painting around it.
