Antique Arts And Crafts Copper Fire Extinguisher Lamp Handmade Tin & Glass Shade
This is a great old table lamp made from a small copper fire extinguisher. The extinguisher itself measures 10-3/4 inches tall and 4-1/2 inches in diameter at the base. There is some discoloration from a label but the label was removed when the lamp was made. The original socket is an old Leviton with bakelite switch. Because the old cord was frayed it has been fitted with a new cord that is a little over 8 feet long. This shade appears to have been made just for the lamp and is in the great arts and crafts style. It is handcrafted. Made of tin with little cutouts for colored glass marbles. Check out the pictures of the inside of the shade- it's really ingenious. The shade measures 6 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter at the bottom. It has been stained to look like copper but is not. Both lamp and shade have a wonderful patina. The ... moreonly cleaning I did was with some glass cleaner on the glass marbles. Weight of lamp and shade is 3 pounds and 12 ounces. This is a very nice 303 with very little finish loss and I mean very little the only thing wrong with this extinguisher is the original hose is missing and the ring on the cap is missing about 1.50 of the ring. If you win this auction I work for a place that molds brass items. So I could have this fixed but it would take some time to get it done. I would send tank right away and send cap when done But when done it would be polished up very nice and fixed. Can has a few minor scratches and a few minor dents. With lid it stands 23.50" tall. Here is a very rare Antique Brass/Copper Guardene Fire Extinguisher. It is empty but is an A-1 Soda Bi-Carbonate& Water extinguisher which tested to 350 lbs. pressure. It is in excellent shape. There are no dents or scratches on this one. It is a real beauty. It is a 2 1/2 gallon capacity. It measures about 24 inches tall X 7 inches across. On the bottom back side by the rivets is marked"29 B" inside a circle. There are two plaques on the front which should be able to be read from the pictures. It weighs about 15 1/2 lbs. The EMPTY Fire Extinguisher is& has been EMPTY for decades. Bone Dry! This is a very nice EMPTY 1950s Kent Fire Extinguisher. It still has the original cord that has probably never been unwrapped. With an attached"Reliable" Sprinkler Head rated at 160 degrees& dated 1952. Picture#7 shows an area where the brass tone has worn off& picture#11 shows some minor white paint.
