This was a poo-poo old grey bell. Origin/history unknown, makers label says 24 volt, so probably not designed for household use? I didn't think there would be much curb appeal if I returned the bell to grey or black, so I laid a nifty two tone green paint job on the bell, bottom lighter gloss green, top darker semi-gloss. Internal portions of bell looks new'ish, my guess is the bell works perfectly(I don't have 24 volts to test with) I,m thinking this bell could have some steampunk applications.

Don't know the orgins of this box but it is red and has a key hole. But the key missing and didn't come with it. It has a red jewel shaped light on the front and one silver button. On the top it has two holes where recieving or sending wires went. And on the Back holes for hanging. You can look in the holes and barely see some wiring. The box has a depth of 4 1/8 and a lenght/width of 4 and 1/8. The box has some wear to it and was probably outside. It could have been on a boat or train or in a building. Here is a VINTAGE FIRE PULL BOX. Manufactured by the Automatic Fire Alarm company, New York, NY. I am not sure of the exact location that this box resided at but it is the real deal. I believe it to be 1920's- 30's vintage. It came out of a collection of antiques and Automobilia from a life long collector in the Rhinebeck NY area. It has excellent potential for restoration or display as is. It does wind up/ make noise like a timer working it's way down when you trip the pull lever. Internal components do move and it seems to work as it should. I am not sure if there is a bell that is supposed to go off and I am not sure if I want to try to open the internal case to explore further. I am hoping to leave that to the new owner. Since I know nothing about these, it is very possible I am missing something. The pictures do a pretty ... moregood job of showing the condition. The dimensions are approximately 5" wide by 7" tall(oval shape) and 5" deep. Not a whole lot more I can tell you about this ohter than it seems like a really cool piece and I am sure with the changes in technology these will only become harder to find as time goes on. Simplex 4903-9168 15 CD Fire Alarm Speaker/Strobe
Hi. These are Simplex 4903-9168 speaker/strobes. They are 15 candela. They were recently removed from a 10 story office building with a Simplex 4100 panel. The building replaced these in favor of newer 4906 TrueAlerts. They were recently professionally tested by Simplex. And I tested the strobes myself, and they worked just as they should. The speakers I cannot test with audio, since I don't have an amplifier or voice control panel, but when wired up with 24 vdc, they made the normal speaker humming sound. I have 10 for sale. You get 1 in this purchase. Unless you buy more. Some have a bit of dust and paint. The one I took pictures of by itself is one of the ones with the more serious paint problem. Vintage MASTERGUARD MG-50FT heat detector fire alarm. Made in Dallas, U.S.A. It comes complete with a mounting bracket and a key for winding. But does NOT come with a manual or extra fuses. It was made to last, having a metal base and metal cover. Uses a key-wound spring to power the alarm. It's strictly mechanical and requires no batteries. So it's ideal for use in hard-to-reach places like rooms with high vaulted ceilings where replacing batteries regularly would be difficult. You just wind it once and leave it alone.
