Vintage Fire Alarm Box Samson New York 1900s with fire station instructions
The Samson fire box was mounted on a loft wall inside a light industrial loft building on 10th Street in New York City. It was removed when the building was converted to residential dwellings in the early 1970s. The box weighs ten pounds and is approximately 7" high by 5" wide by 5" deep. The last time it was inspected was 1917 and there is an inspection sticker on the inside of the door. I do not know the age of the fire box. There is a fair amount of paint flaking- particularly on the inside of the door. I did not attempt to clean it as I don't know if that affects authenticity or value. I think it needs to be cleaned and repainted. The printed instructions were on the wall next to the box- they include the fire house phone number and instructions to employees. They are faded where information was typed onto the sheet.

Simplex 4004 board only from a working system. building was torn done and the panel was fully working and tested annually. Board has 8 zones on it and is in good condition. This would be a perfect service board for a system. The board is mounted on the back plate and would need the power supply from an existing system. Main panel cabinet was mounted in a concrete wall and could not be taken out without damage.
