Up for bid is vintage push button. Pull down, break the glass type, fire alarm with original contact plate included and intact. This was a piece that was removed from a building demolished quite a few years ago. Overall in nice condition, with minor scrapes and surface rust, although it is missing it's original glass pane, that probably broke when the piece was being removed from the wall where it was situated for at least 25 yrs. A nice collectible piece for the fire enthusiast or collector of such devices. Rare George M. Stevens Small Fire House Alarm Bell w/Complete Original Movement
This item's so hot. It's practically on fire(and by"Hot" we actually mean"Cool" not stolen) So our consignor tells us, it hung in his home(his dad was a fire fighter) and would sound to alert him of a fire. Apparently it would ring in a coded pattern to tell the fire fighter where to go. This rare antique George M. Stevens fire bell from Boston(marked clearly as such on the movement) is in good shape, with intact glass, hook-attached front case, complete with bell and movement. Although the movement is complete and looks good, we haven't electrified it to test it, and thus can't confidently say that it is still'functional though it likely is. The paint is in relatively good condition with expected signs of age and use. In our opinion, a good cleaning and/or perhaps a new paint job would do a world of ... moregood but is not required. The overall size is 7” by 15.5” while the original bell measures up at 6.5” dia. of solid brass. For your consideration: Two vintage Fire Alarm Bell Devices mfg. by EMDEKO. US Safety and Engineering Corp. Torrance, California. These bells or alarms still function. They are thermostatically activated. Temperature rated at 135°. For use in local areas only. Both detectors are used and scratched up on the outer covers surface but could be painted to match your décor or easily restored to the original silver finish. The back side of one unit has some corrosion but again, could be cleaned to look like new. You rewind by holding cover in your left hand and turn the back side clockwise. You can hear a foot or dongle of some sort striking an inner bell. Each unit is a model 115 A FT. and measures 6 1/2" in diameter and about 2 1/2" in depth. The base is cast iron, and the bell is brass, and all appears original. The bell measures 4" in diameter, and the base measures 5 1/4" long. Upon closer inspection after the pictures were taken, it looks like a handle piece is broken off of the larger piece attached to the base in the 2nd pic. Silent Knight SK-5208 Commercial Fire Alarm Control Panel w/ keypad-annunciator
This panel and keypad were removed from an up-and-running system and are in perfect operating condition. We only pulled it out because the system had to be expanded beyond its limits. The Silent Knight SK-5208 Fire Alarm Control Panel has 10 zones. But can accept two 10-zone expanders(not included) to boost it to 30 zones. Its onboard communicator can accommodate two standard phone lines, and four account numbers and phone numbers. There are four horn/strobe circuits(NACs) and four programmable relays. Although this panel dates to 2005(note the software version and date on the display) They are still in production, so getting expanders or other accessories is no problem. The panel is fully programmable from the onboard keypad or the remote keypad. We've reset the codes and account info to default. Ready for you to program to meet your ... moreneeds. It carries the UL and FM listings for commercial fire applications, but local requirements vary. Please, if you are planning to use this panel in a REQUIRED fire alarm system, check with your Fire Marshall before bidding to make sure it will meet his requirements. The installation/operation manual is included. But if you'd like to check out more details before bidding, the manual is available free on the Silent Knight website.
