Fine Pair of Antique Victorian Silver Plated Sugar Casters,English,circa1838-43
A very fine and rare pair of early Victorian era sugar shakers in old Sheffield silverplate.Period circa 1839.Found in the attic of The Olde Foundry Street General Store,which was built in 1850.They stand 7.5 inches high and are indeed a matching pair,bearing the same Sheffieled hallmarks and regal wolf head crests.Finely domed tops,pronounced waists and Federal gadrooning about the bases.Also they have geometrically designed pour holes about the tops.Lots of copper bloom,particularly to one shaker around the dome top,but in very good used condition and certainly hard to find in a matching original pair.When I found them in an attic chest,I researched the hallmarks in a book of English silver marks and if memory serves,they date to the year 1839 give or take,an early date in Victoria's long reign as Queen.Because the pair is still joined ... moreafter 175 years,they could easily be used as a very elegant pair of grand salt and pepper shakers that would make any guest pea-green with envy at how well appointed a table you set indeed! There are some mild dings around the waist as well as a bit of crimping of the metal.But overall the pair is in very good condition and the flaws are well hidden in the gleam of the silver.These shakers pre-date the house that they were found tucked away in,so quite probably they originally already belonged to one of the original inhabitants and were left for me to find all of these years later.Beautiful by all standards and true antiques,these are great pieces of old English Sheffield silverplate that far outshine anything set on a table today.Period circa 1839.

Vtg 50's Galvanized Metal Mop ATLANTIC Bucket FAULTLESS CASTERS Primitive Decor
Up for auction is an old ATLANTIC GALVANIZED HEAVY METAL MOP BUCKET with handle and 4 NOELTING FAULTLESS CASTERS with the number 1851 on the side of each bracket. It was found at auction so I don't know any history or specific age. I would describe it as being in varying conditions.from poor to ok to good for an old piece. Overall its very heavy and sturdy. Outside is good. But it has its fair share if dusty buildup around the old casters. The outside bottom is rough. It is very hard to make out the"Atlantic"on the bottom. The bottom inside is the bad-poor part. The bottom and a few inches up the side appears to have lost its galvanized finish. As it IS RUSTY. Description*This table was listed over a year ago but the owner requested that the listing be pulled until they moved. The table is now back up for auction. It has been used for the past year and then wrapped and stored by movers. It is currenlty stored in a garage. It can be unwrapped for inspection upon purchase. It was not unrwrapped to take new photographs. This is a spectacular 7' round Georgian style dining table by renowned English furniture makers Restall. Brown& Clennell. It is about 10-15 years old. I wrote to RBC to find out more information regarding this particular table and was told that the table was made with wood in mahogany radial veneers with a cross banding in satinwood with yew wood. We removed these from a Singer Treadle Sewing Machine however the center foot pedal had already been cut away so we removed these sides. They are both in Very Good Condition and have no visible signs of damage and very little rust. Here is a pair of Garment Racks. Each rack has 6 adjustable arms. They can extend up to 77 inches tall. The racks width is 43 inches the depth from front to back is 39 inches. They are chrome plated. Each rack has 6 casters for easy rolling. There are also 8 extra arms included that can be added basically anywhere on the racks as well as a sign frame. I bought these to merchandise wearable items in my print shop but that idea never really panned out and these have been sitting in a storage room for a couple years. These units look great and function as they should. I would prefer local pickup however if you want them shipped I will charge you 20.00 to strap wrap and load them on a truck and ship them freight collect this way you will only pay the actual shipping charges without any markups.
