This wire is called"Curtis' Two-Point Half-Round Twist Lock Barbs on Two Lines" by collectors. ref. Hagemeier 280-B) This wire features two twisted together line wires. Barbs are two pointed made from half-round stock. Barbs are wrapped once around one of the line wires, with flat side against line wire. After wrapping tips of barbs are twisted inwards one-quarter turn to lock barb to line wires. Wire sample is a minimum of 18" in length. It shows light age and use wear, with no pitting. There are three barbs, well spaced, and cut is well centered. There is some bending of barbs, but no broken on missing barbs. Wire is in very good used condition. This is a vintage Jewelry Chest from the 1950's or 60's. It is a wooden frame with an ivory colored faux leather exterior. It has NO maker's mark. It does have a key and it does work! There are hooks to hang necklaces on inside both doors. There are 4 red velvet-lined drawers(one with ring rack) The last photo shows how there are rotating tabs in the back of each drawer that keep the drawers from coming all the way out. There are some tiny blemishes on the top(very light) and are pictured in the 8th photo. There is a small black stain in one of the drawers about the size of a pencil eraser. Overall. I'd say it's in very good condition. It measures 12" side to side. 7 1/2" front to back& 10 1/4" top to bottom.

The time lock was made by the famous E. Howard Watch Company. This time-lock timer shows the patent year as 1876 and the piece was produced in approximately 1880! This was the mechanism used to time the automatic locking and unlocking of safes. It is an amazing looking piece to have in your watch or clock cabinet! This a a very heavy time piece. The time lock is such a unique piece and I have not seen any others made by E. Howard. The ‘two movement’ mechanism is housed in a very heavy metal box- very important when it was attached to the inside of a safe door. The thick gauge metal box weighs over 500grams. ... moreThe dimensions are 120mm x 58mm x 35mm. The metal box I believe is nickel and is beautifully damaskeened with box patterning- very old school. As you can see the regulators are also amazingly hand engraved with some very fancy designs. The inside of the box shows two watch/clock mechanisms with two corresponding dials. The winder for each movement is the centre post on each dial. A key was required to wind the movements. However I do not have a key so I cannot determine if the movements fully work. I can tell you that all the balances spin freely and I can hear the mechanism tick away for a short period of time when I do this. This piece is the timer only as the actual locking apparatus is no longer attached. The dials are marked correctly with Made by E.Howard& Co. Who manufactured the time lock for Hall’s Safe& Lock Co. The patent details are also listed as H. Gross’s Patent Feb 8 th 1876. Each dial is 46 hours and also show serial number as 1240. Brushed cleaned, sealed and covered with a period correct high end fabric design. The trunk has been reinforced from the inside where you see the cracks in the wood. Leaving the character that only a real antique trunk would accumulate over the years intact. The original canvas was in too bad of shape. So it was stripped to reveal the beautiful pine underneath. The outside has also been sanded. Cleaned and sealed with a satin finish for preservation and protection as well. Latches are in perfect working order. the lock can only be locked with the key. Up for auction is an excellent Universal Car Roof Ski Rack for carrying up to 4 pairs of ski poles. The ski rack will fit most standard car roofs. The racks themselves are 4 feet long with adjustable clamps on the side. There is a rotating wheel on the side of each of the rack pieces that rotates to tighten or loosen the clamps accordingly. There is a lever over the rotating wheel that. When lifted, will create the gap to put the ski poles in and when the lever is pulled down, it holds the ski poles in place. The lever goes over the adjuster wheel to lock the wheel in place so the clamps stay tight holding on the roof of the car. IDED CONFEDERATE. 20th. VIRGINIA HEAVY ARTILLERY AMMUNITION BUNKER LOCK This large heavy pad lock was used on the door to the ammunition bunker of the 20th. Virginia Heavy Artillery at Drewry’s Bluff on the James River near Richmond Virginia from June 1862 until the batteries were abandoned during the retreat from Richmond in 1865. It was found by the famous collector of Virginia artifacts; Mac Mason of Richmond Virginia who had it on display in the Fort Hell Museum in Petersburg. Virginia during the Civil War Centennial of 1961 to 1965. It is 2 7/8” x 3 ¾” at the body with a large arm on top& has a brass swing aside arm that covers the fey hole& is marked only PATENT. It is in very good + relic condition with medium pitting& has a dark brown patina. It comes with a Fort Hell Museum letter from one of the owners of the museum.

CONFEDERATE McCLANAHAN’S BATTERY LIMBER CHEST LOCK.1863/65 This heavy duty iron pad lock is marked D.M. Co. is from a limber chest that was used by McClanahan’s Virginia Battery from the late summer of 1863 to 1865. It was used on the chest for the 12 pounder Napoleon cannon that this battery was equipped with as there were still several 12 pounder cannonballs inside. It was found. in the rotted remains of the wood) with a pair of hinges& several 12 pounder cannonballs in the tack room of the old barn on the McClanahan farm in the Fort Valley, just east of Edinburg, Virginia along with other battery artifacts. The lock body is 3 ¾” tall x 3 1/8” wide with a heavy arm on top& has a2 1/8” arrow head shaped brass plate over the key hole that is marked D. M. Co. It is in good condition with light/medium to pitting& has a dark ... morebrown patina. The arm& brass plate are rusted closed but soaking in kerosene should loosen them up so that this old lock will work.
