DAY BRITE 400W High Pressure Sodium Industrial/Warehouse Bay Light HID(High Intensity Discharge) Fixtures(CAT N. HB40HS12-65) in fair to good condition. All have cords with 3 prong plug(see pic) No bulbs. These were pulled(when they were still working) from a US auto plant for upgrades and have sat in my barn ever since(I was going to use them in my pole barn but I am moving) They have not been used or tested since(I have no way to test them now) They all have minor dings and scratches. There is some chipped/cracked paint and some minor exterior rust spots on ballast mounts(rust cannot penetrate inside they are sealed closed as they are designed for damp conditions) from being moved, but nothing serious or broken. Vintage General Electric High Pressure Sodium 120 220 240 Volt Street Light
General Electric Adj. Voltage Street Light I have a few of these lights. All tested, all include bulb. I have rewired them to test with 120 volts, but they can be wired to 220/240/270 or left at 120. You change voltage simply by changing the wire to the appropriate voltage you want. The wires are marked, and takes about 30 seconds if you are slow. The bottom snaps into place easily. This light is simple to maintain. The glass lens is perfect. Now. The bad. this light is heavy. the glass is heavy. When they made this light, it was designed to last a long time, and it has. Just like the old vintage cars, which were built like tanks, so is this light. So shipping is what it is. If it is cheaper because you live closer, I can refund the difference once the shipment is processed and label is printed. When I tested this light. I made sure it worked, ... moreand I left plugged in for about 15 minutes. The bulb takes a few minutes to warm uo, getting brighter and brighter. Once at it peak brightness, it is BRIGHT! The bulb that is in it cast a yellowish light. If you do not like the yellowish light it cast, just change out the bulb to a tint more for your taste. Blue, or green, pink. I could not test the photocell. If it does not work, it is a simple matter to change it out with a new one. I know the light works, it works just dandy here. Please do not rewire it wrong, blow it up, electrocute your dog, and blow out the power to your entire nieghborhood, then complain to me that it does not work. it does. If you are not electricity"know it some" AND you chose to rewire it to something other than 120V, then maybe have someone who knows do it. If they charge you by the hour, it will be cheap, it is simply a matter of unscrewing the wire nut, changing to the wire marked with the appropriate voltage, and putting the nut back on.
