The set is made with ornate solid brass fittings and hardware which are attached to a wonderful handmade. And beautifully routed wooden box. the set i ncludes test tubes and rack. Flask and holder, specimen slides and holder,dual adjustable mirrors and candle holder, tweezers and beakers. the beaker and specimen slide are held by stunning brass stands and holders. behind these is a very detailed test tube stand. Which is also made from brass and holds three different sized tubes with 2 arms. in the back is a large removable arm which holds two brass backed adjustable mirrors at the top. One in which has a brass handle at back. these are connected to the long arm and has an adjustment knob to adjust the height as well. underneath is a wonderful ... moresolid brass detailed candle holder which also has a height adjustment. the arms is held by a very ornate mount that is connected to the wooden box. The set is in good vintage condition with some corner creasing to the book, one of the tools is missing, the calcium chloride has wear, phenolphthalein is empty and the litmus paper boxes have one piece each. But it appears to still have a lot of the original items left plus a few additional as not all would fit in the original case- See Photos. Condition: The Case is in Excellent condition. Very clean with no rust on the outside, just a small paint chip on the back side. The inside of the case has some very minor rust that appears that it could be easily cleaned up. Not sure of the condition or amounts of the chemicals but all the bottles seem to be fully intact and clean. The“Adventures With Chemistry” book is in excellent condition. The Alcohol burners(2) ... moreappear to be unused. One metal spoon/scoop shows chemical burn use and the second one appears unused. The Mini Plastic Rocket appears unused. This is a high quality vintage silver-plate and glass chemistry lab stand set made in Italy. I do not know much about chemistry sets so I do not know exactly what everything is for but looks to be complete and very lightly used. It has many arms which are completely adjustable on the long shaft. They can even be removed to be able to put them in which ever order desired. The shaft is mounted to a beautiful oval base which is footed with ball feet. It also has a loop at the top for carrying the piece. It has a beautiful removable silver-plate burner which has a removable lid and never been used. there are also many other glass pieces one large piece with a globe shaped bottom and a thermometer in the shaft. the shaft is held by a arm that has a circular nut to hold it into place. This auction is for a Vintage children's Chemistry Lab from Skil Craft. I believe it's from 1963 or 1964. But can't find anything definite. Searching around the internet, I found similar boxes that said it was from 1963, but in the box there's an order form for add on items and it said the prices were good in October 1964 and could change at any time. Perhaps they used the same picture in 1963 and 1964? I don't know. If you buy this maybe you can use it to creat a time machine and we can go back and find out. Anyway. I'm pretty sure MOST of it is here. It's obviously missing a few glass tubes, and it is missing one of the bottles of chemicals. I couldn't find a list of what's supposed to be in it, so I can't be sure. I checked most of the bottles, and only found one that was empty.
