The handle length is 6.0 inches, and the knob has a diameter of 2.7 inches. The finish is chrome plating. This is from the net: Patent#1,544,520, issued to E.P. Putrow in 1925. Data Professionals Main Page Other items of interest. Weller 60W Adjustable Model EC 1002 This is a Weller brand Soldering Station that was just taken out of service. It is a 60 Watt soldering pencil with adjustable temperature sensor tip. Tip temperature can be controlled between 350 and 850 degrees F. This uses common EC-1201A style tips and the one currently on the wand is only a few months old. I have upgraded to one of the newer Digital Readout style soldering stations. This one works. And is in very good condition. Having the available 60 Watts of heat is great for when you need to solder something with some mass. There are no scuffs or burns in either of the cords. This unit is 100% functional and is in very good condition. Looks almost New!
