I recently purchased an $800 rework station. So I don't need my 808 any more. It's served valiantly and helped to rebuild many pieces over the years. It served double-duty as desoldering gun and 100 watt soldering iron(for chassis work, bulky binding posts, anywhere there is a lot of copper to pull away the heat) It was dropped. And it cracked, which is why there is glue on it. It works fine however. The suction and heat are not affected by the crack. The things missing from the original kit are the instructions. The wrench(finally broke) and the white tablet-shaped filters(I use cotton balls) You can buy a new body, new heating element, new pump, new everything. Leister Hot Air Gun Desoldering/weilding Tool with a few attachments
The unit works great. The first pic shows the item on. the rest of the picures were taken with the unit turned off so I did not burn my house down. The Leister unit is used and shows signs of being used stains/scratches. There is a spot that has been melted on the right side of the unit. It does not affect the functionality of the unit. Items pictured is of the actual items you will receive. The unit has a strong motor and gets very hot. I tested it on the board I take my pictures on and it made a black mark almost instantly.
