Lowel-Light Variflector Portable Reflector Kit, Case, Stand, Pro Grade, Rare
Here we have a vintage original Lowel-light Variflector. These are used by the top photographers in the world. The measurements when fully assembled are 27 wide by 42 tall. This unit comes complete with travel carrying case. Stand and the reflector. The stand is variable height and it also swivels behind the main reflector. I'm not exactly sure this one is put together exactly correctly. But its probably pretty close. There's an additional height adjuster on one of the legs in case you want to tilt it. There's also a center leg adjustment to help balance the weight if at an angle. There are some surface scratches. But I don't believe this has any effect on its functionality. It still has good reflective properties. For the most part it went together pretty easily. You do have to wiggle the seems so that they lineup with the ... moregrooves on both sides. There are a few spots where there's some splitting at the end's. But it's still fully functional. There are couple of spots where clear tape was used to solidify and repair the slight tears on the end's. Once the sheet is in the grooves it's very solid. Here is another one of my"semi-homemade" indirect ophthalmoscopes. The head is a frigitronics and is in excellent condition. I retrofitted it with an LED light source and portable power supply with charger. The battery life on this thing is incredible. I used it in my office and put the power source in my pocket and walked from room to room doing exams. Worked quite well in that situation. Would make a great BIO for mission trips or in the office as a portable.

I found this when cleaning out my husband's things. It looks like it has never been used. It is from LarsonEnterprises. Inc Fountain valley, CA. The paper inside looks older. It says soft even light, no hot spots, minimun light loss, controls all light sources, up to 120 degree beam spread, still, motion picture. I opened up the umbrella, no rips or tears.
