Here we have a Canon FD 50 mm f 1.4 in excellent condition. It is compatible with any of the FD series film cameras like A1. AE1, AE1 program, FTb, T90, Pellix, etc. It is also compatible with many digital cameras in the 4/3rds and micro 4/3rds format. Like Sony NEX, Panasonic Lumix and OLympus EPL2, to mention a few. When used with this smaller formats. The 50mm f 1.4 lens becomes a 100mm f 1.4 medium telephoto perfect for portraits, with excellent sharpness and very nice bokeh. The cosmetic condition is excellent as can be seen in the pictures that are part of the description. The finish on the lens barrel is intact with no dings or scratches or rub marks. The filter ring is not bent or marked in any way. The lens mount is also intact with almost no signs of being used. The mechanics of the lens are flawless. Focusing is silky smooth. Aperture ... morering turns and stops securely at every f stop and the eight diaphragm blades open and close instantly without any hesitation or sluggishness. The lens elements are free of scratches. Haze or fungus. There may be a very few dust specks that have no effect in the pictures. The lens was tested on a Canon AE1 Program film camera and on a Olympus EPL1 digital camera. Pictures 1. 10 and eleven were taken with the EPL1 and this lens set at 1.4 to show the sharpness and bokeh of the lens wide open. Overall condition of the lens would be 10 in function and 9 in condition. Looking and performing almost like new. Whoever wins this lens will be pleasantly surprised. I bought this lens new in late January from B&H. It's a USA version and comes with the original box and all supplied accessories. This lens works and performs like new. The only signs of wear are some light scratches around the Panasonic logo on the bottom of the lens. It's visible in the supplied images. I was really impressed by this lens, in some respects it's better than my 24-70 f/2.8 Nikkor. I bought this for and used it on a trip to Europe this year where I had to travel lighter than normal and leave my Nikon kit behind. Glass is clear and perfect, no scratches, hazing or fungus.
