This is a 1W 835nm laser diode that is coupled to a ST style fiber. It is very good for IR illumination and industrial applications like cutting and engraving. These lasers are extremely hard to find. And unlike the standard bare diodes, you do not need special optics to use it, a simple focusing lens will do. Oh, you could also use this diode to repair an agfa plate setter as long as the diode it uses is less than 1W and has the ST style fiber connector. It even comes with a coupler/generder bender! I also have some 1-2W 835nm 9mm plate setter diodes listed as well. This one's a mystery. Folks. This came from a bio-med research company that's moving to its next phase of trials and no longer needs its laser setup. We were told that this goes at 664nm with 1W output, but we can't verify that, and we're not sure if the power rating is per diode or total. We took the top off of the assembly, and found what you see in the pictures. We were worried that we'd break something if we took it apart further, so that's all we've done. This is a nearly unused EG&G pin photodiode designed for light detection of lasers and x-ray/neutron scintillators. Bias up to 90V reverse for extreme sensitivity! It was originally intended to be used in a precision niche bio-medical sensing application. But would be good for laser energy measurement and timing sync applications, as well as a very nice solid state sensor to go with my Lithium iodide or other scintillation crystals.The diode has an active area of 20 square mm. I have the data sheet available for this photo diode. It includes a basic op-amp based preamplifier. This part is extremely hard to find and exotic to be sure. RARE High Power Coherent 561nm Yellow Green Nd:Yag KTP Laser Diode Optics Set
This is a main crystal set 1x Nd:yag. And 1x KTP for up to ONE WATT of yellow-green Nd:YAG laser light at 561nm. This wavelength is used in certain biomedical applications and is very close to the human visual peak at 555nm. The color would be very nice and exotic to use for laser light show uses. This crystal set is extremely expensive and almost impossible to find. You need to supply the cavity OC and HR optic mirrors, but they should be easily found from large DPSS optic suppliers. See also my Spectra Physics millennia cable that would make diode pumping the crystal to saturation a simple task. You could also make it lamp pumped with a photo flash tube from a disposable camera if high peak power is needed. Even low power 561nm lasers sell for over 3 grand, so getting these parts may be a good option for a university lab that needs this ... morewavelength. I got one of these crystal sets lasing at very low power using a cludge of ex-telecom optics and most of the guts of a Uniphase nanolaser. High Power 808nm 25W Spectra Physics Laser Diode Fiber Array DPSS Yag Pump Cable
This is a Fiber array cable for a spectra physics millennia laser. It adapts a 19 emitter 25W laser diode bar to a 800um fiber bundle. Or it can be used in reverse with a Coherent FAP laser(to 50W) to make a line of energy for pumping a small yag rod such as the one in my other listings. The fiber is a very clean pulled spare part from new old stock laser diode modules that failed confidence testing. The length of the cable is about 17 feet(5 meters) not counting the connectors, and even has the protective end cap on the output end. If you fried the tip of your SP millennia pump laser, this will fix the problem. Alignment is sort of tricky, but can be done by running the diode at low power(near threshold) and using a sensitive power meter to measure the output. Power Technology 3mw 635nm Laboratory Grade Laser Diode Module Bright Red Beam
This is a nice laser diode module that was part of an older micro-array genetic scanner. The module has a modulation/enable input and runs off 12V. The laser diode is TEC cooled and has a rock solid laser diode driver that is far better than any of the current laser diode drivers they make today. One thing you could do is swap the low powered laser diode out for a higher powered unit and make a very nice laser module suitable for laser light shows up to about 200ma actual diode current draw. This is an unusual TEC cooler with a central 5mm hole. This type of TEC is used to cool laser diodes. Optics, and other devices that need isolation form the cold side of the TEC. This is a small collimator lens for a green yag or argon laser. It makes the beam from a fiber optic into a usable dot.
