Large 14" Industrial Steampunk -Machine age Iron Gear Pully Wheel Wall art
Nice industrial art! Up for your consideration is an Industrial Style- Decorative Gear/Wheel/ Pully- Wall Art Decor. This is old new unused stock. This is a new piece that was never used. The gear is made of solid gray iron weighing about 16 lbs. It measures about 14" in diameter and the width of the outside edge gear is about 1 1/8" thick with a grooved edge where belt should be used. There is a center hole measures a little more than 2 3/4" wide. Off the center of the hole are six spokes.One has rasied numbers on it that reads 1400. One side of the center is flat and on the other side the center piece has a collar and is rasied about 3/4 of a inch. Could be used as is with a already great patina or cleaned up and painted. Up for sale is one of these antique"pat pend" cast iron steampunk farm plow gear wheels. These gear wheels are great for yard or garden decor. Wall displays and even repurposed in making furniture or steampunk creations. Each wheel has very similar wear from age as the one pictured and are in good condition with no cracks or damage. The wheels vary from 14 1/2" to 14 3/4" in diameter depending on the wear to the nubs, the center hole has a diameter of 4 1/4" and the wheel is 7/8" wide. There is old red paint left. It does look a little orange under certain lighting but I think it is faded red. But I suppose it could have been orange. Would make a great addition to a collector or I think it would a neat lamp base etc. Possibly Steampunk. Not sure if it is too big for that but I have seen a lot of steampunk art with bigger parts. This is a large industrial 10" cast iron v-belt pulley from a collection of American Manufacturing Relics from the Industrial Age now offered for your Machine Art enjoyment. It carries Part Number 2041 and was made by Welch This pulley has no wear or damage other than some loss of the original black finish from age and shelf life. It could be returned to service if needed This is a solid steel 3 spoke pulley used for large compressors and other machinery. It has a groove for a V-Belt that is 1/2 inch wide. It has a smooth center hole 3/4" in diameter. Most of the surface as well as any grease or dirt has been cleaned up. But you may choose to do more if you choose to paint it for display or for your Steampunk, industrial metal age lamp or other project. I believe this stainless steel part is from the hydraulic system of a large bulldozer but not sure. SIZE: approximately 5 1/2" tall 5" wide and 3 1/2" thick. the two small holes are 1/2" in diameter. the hose threaded hole is 2 1/2" in diameter and the big hole is 3 1/2" in diameter. the hole in the bottom is 1 7/8" diameter. Weight: a little over 8 lb. Heavy solid piece of stainless steel.
