Ampex 1450980-010 Retractable Test Probe For Checking TT Patchbays& Wiring. This is a neat hard to find test accessory that Produced in the 1980's. The probe end has a super sharp test probe. With a protective hood that locks in both positions. In the"standby" position the hood slides over the probe tip to protect it from damage, and to protect you from stabbing yourself. The other end has a standard TT plug. There are two ways to use the test probe. With method 1. The probe tip is used as an extension of the tip of the TT plug. You can inject signal into a patchbay, or monitor a signal from the patchbay, using the probe. Method 2 is a continuity test. You insert the TT plug into the TT jack under test and measure resistance between ring and sleeve downstream from the patchbay- at the far end of the wires or connector going ... moreto the TT patchbay point. Etc. Normally, the test probe provides a short between ring and sleeve of the TT but but you can interrupt this short by pressing a button on the probe. Industrial Black Retractable Extendable Optical Stand Steampunk Assemblage Vtg
I have a vintage Optical Stand that was manufactured by the Midland Optical MFG Co. out of Kansas City. USA. You would have seen this in medical Eye Doctors Office. I am not exactly sure of the age. It has a wonderful black patina and still has the brass name plate on the front of it. This stand will retract and extend from 26 ½” to 31 ½” by turning the round knobs. I think this would look amazing with a piece of rustic barn wood on the top for a table! The legs have a lovely curve to them. They are approx 21 ½” triangle. Media Screen Welcome Multi-Language Trade Show Retractable Banner Stand USCIS
This large media screen was made for the US Citizenship and Immigration Services. In large letters it says“Welcome” in English as well as in a multitude of other languages. The screen comes as a pull out. Just like an old movie screen, encased in an aluminum housing. It has a twist out foot base and includes a collapsing pole. The pole is a bit crumpled on both ends, but it works just fine. It all comes with a handy-dandy canvas carrying/storage bag that does show some wear. One end is bent out of shape, looking to have been dropped at some point. The internal spring that retracts the screen is fairly strong. So it will take some effort to maneuver the screen onto the post. While standing on the foot base from the back and with the post at an angle, I hooked the screen to the post and pushed it up, then put the post in the anchor hole. Note ... morethat this screen is really tall at more than seven feet tall! It is possible that the unit had end-feet for the base. But there was nothing else in the case. It stands up fine, even on my carpet, but you might want to consider improvising something to add stability. Note that one of the ends is dented in, but it does not make any difference in operation.
