I removed the glass shade from the fixture. See picts. I could not see where a pull switch would attach, so might have been wired to work with a wall light switch, see picts. There is a center brass tube though, so if the light socket updated/replaced could convert it into a pull switch, see picts. Rest of the fixture appears complete. Including the Ceiling Cap, which is often left behind, see picts. This a weighted retractable pulled down lamp allowing you to adjust to many different height as needed.
