UREI 100-A Sonipulse Audio System Room Tuning Analyzer. Tested. Working, but Needs Microphone. The 100-A Sonipulse is a room tuning(speaker and EQ) measurement system that UREI manufactured in the late 1970's. The unit has separate send and receive sections. The send section outputs a line level"pop" impulse with specific frequency content that repeats 5 times per second. The receive section has a mic preamp input followed by a set of selectable attenuators and filters and an accurate level meter. By sweeping through the 27 frequencies(40 Hz. to 16 kHz) the user can compare relative levels at all frequencies. And is able to make tuning and EQ adjustments to achieve a flat system. The unit is meant to be used with an AKG 451-E condenser mic. But can also be used with other mics having a relatively flat response. No microphone ... moreis included with the unit, but I tested it with a Shure mic and the functions worked properly. The unit is guaranteed to work properly. It can be switches between 115 and 230 VAC. An original owner's manual is included. Cosmetic condition is quite good, but the silver anvil type case that houses the unit is slightly bent at the front and has a few dings(nothing serious) Studio Electronics.
