Rare MAFFIOLETTI Italian Road bike Campagnolo 1st Gen. C-Record Cobalto 52.5cm
Up for auction is a wonderful road bike from the Italian bicycle manufacturer Cicli Maffioletti. Cicli Maffioletti is located in the area of Bergamo. Italy. It is 2x6 speed. The bike is in my opinion in good to very good condition with little to regular signs of use. Please judge yourself. It is equipped with a complete Campagnolo 1st Generation Campagnolo C-Record groupset. The frame tubes are special. They are made by Columbus(there are traces of the Columbus decal left) and they are similar shaped like the Gilco tubes Columbus manufactured for the Colnago Master. The 3 main tubes on this frame are crimped. Th ere are of course no cracks or dents in the frame tubes. The paint is in very good to excellent condition with minor signs of use. There are almost no scratches or paint chips to find. The decals show some wear at the corners and ... moreedges, but they are all stable. In my opinion it does not harm the general appearence, but please judge yourself. The paint and chrome in general do show slight patina in general. Everything works well. It shiftes and brakes well, but it could be improved after shipment and reassembling by putting some fresh grease and oil on the mechanical parts and do a little bit of brake and gear adjusting. The tires are tubulars, they are new(Vittoria Rally) The bike is generally very clean, but you may find traces of dirt here and there. Please notice the beautiful details on this frame like the engravings on the fork head. The rear stays, the rear brake stays(Maffioletti- Handwork) and the bottom bracket. The bottom bracket shows a very rare and beautiful aero cable guide. The bike is equipped with a rare Campagnolo 1st Generation C-Record groupset. The goupset has Cobalto brakes. The components are all in very good condition with little to regular wear. From C-Record are: Seatpost and crankset( both in excellent condition) The front derailleur shows a few smaller marks. Up for auction is a beautiful wheelset for your vintage project: The wheelset is in used to good condition with regular signs of use. There are minor scratches on both rims. The front wheel is in my opinion free of flaws. Just regular signs of use. The rear wheel has a flaw that needs to be mentioned. The rear rim shows a 1,5cm hairline crack on one side. Almost not to see, but it needs to be mentioned. There is also a tiny dent that is hardly noticeable. In my opinion the rear wheel can still be used, but please decide yourself. Both wheels run straight and true and the hubs are running smooth. The price of the wheels, in the early 90s was 12.000 Austrian Schilling, which was the average monthly wage of a worker back then. The hubs are C-Record style with 16 spokes. All in original condition. The freewheel is Dura Ace and in very good condition: ... more8 speed. Rear spacing is 130mm. Up for auction is a beautiful and slightly used wheelset for your vintage project. The rear wheel is in near mint condition. Unfortunately the front wheel has 2 dents: The wheelset is hardly used. There are almost no abrasions from braking. But please notice the 2 dents on the front wheel. I have no idea what happened there. Considering that the front wheel has these 2 dents, the front wheel is pretty straight and true. I think it is still useable, but that decision would be up to the next owner. I sell it for parts! Maybe there is also a way to repair that front wheel. It would be a shame if this cannot be used anymore, because these wheels definitely had only the one or other run. And between 1955 and 1962 were accepted as payment for internal mail. With the opening up of Bhutan in the early 1960s. A formal postal system was introduced. The American entrepreneur Burt Todd assisted in establishing a postage stamp program in the country[ 3] and Bhutan became known for the unusual designs and materials of its stamps which were chosen by Todd specifically to attract attention. With the assistance of the Indian postal advisor Dr. K. Ramamurti. Who was in Bhutan from 1964 to 1968, a proper postal organization and infrastructure was set up under the leadership of a young Bhutanese officer Mr. Lam Penjor, who became the Director of the Department of Posts ... moreand Telegraphs. 4 A postal system was created with the gradual opening of more post offices and postal agencies. The ad is dated at the top. This ad came from a magazine dated July. 1935. The back features an ad for Ball-Band Rubber Footwear. The page on which the ad is found measures: 11 1/2" tall and 8 1/4" wide. The ad itself measures: 10 1/4" tall and 4 5/8" wide. It is in excellent condition and is ready to be trimmed. Matted and framed. A fine addition to any collection. This auction is for a vintage AVIOLA am radio tuner 6 tube record player turntable phono made in USA. This is complete and all original will need a new power cord.The case is all cabinet grade plywood and piano hinge with brass fasteners and in good solid condition for its age. It is a larger solid wood cabinet with feet and a nice aluminum metal rods and cloth decorative grill model 608 made in 1946 right after WWII by former makers of Detrola. It has a 6 tube am radio that still works with excellent reception and clarity. The dial has a light with a good tuner string. Original bakelite marbled knobs, and rounded plexiglass cover. The tubes are a mix with 2-12BA6, 12BE6,12AT6 35W4 AND 35L6. The power cord had been cut so I just put on a temporary one to test it. This has a rectangular built in copper antenna.
