2 Killark Explosion Proof Industrial Light Fixtures, Steampunk, Porcelain Enamel
This is a set of 2 identical Killark Explosion Proof Industrial Light Fixtures with Enamel/Porcelain shades. Cast aluminum metal work(I think) with Max Volts 250, Max 300 watt bulb. The Cat No. is HX-1-200. The fixtures are meant to hang with their backs straight against your building or pole with the shades positioned to direct the light with the uniquely shaped shades. Around the bulb is a glass globe which is protected with a metal cage. I am not an industrial lighting expert, but to me these are in great condition. Check out the photos. I just wiped the dust off these, but they could use a good cleaning. I think they will look even better then. There are no breaks or cracks. Light A has 2 enamel chips that are on the rim and on the outer part of the shade. The base on A has some kind of goop spilled on it. It looks like it shouldn't ... morebe a problem to remove with a good cleaning. Light B has 3 chips. One is teeny-tiny, and 2 are roughly dime size. They are all close together on the outer part of the shade. There are bulbs inside both lights. They will come with it, but I can't guarantee they will work when they arrive. The lamps measure roughly 18.5" long in total x 14.25" wide at widest point(shade) The cage and glass holding the bulb measures approximately 7.5" The end of the base is 5.25" and is marked"Killark Hazardous Location HX-1. These are sold as is. In selling these items. I am not giving a warranty, either written or implied. These lights must be inspected or serviced by a licensed electrician. For sale are two brass nautical/industrial Brass explosionproof light housings. I was told these were from the 40s but cannot confirm that. They were made by R. Lovell& Company in Arlington New Jersey. They are made of brass but at some point were painted. So. They have been sandblasted back to their original condition. I scratched a little spot on one of them so you can see the brass underneath the patina. These could be polished if you prefer, but I think the patina is beautiful. Grain Barn BENJAMIN Industrial COPPER Light Fixture Lamp Vintage Explosion Proof
Here is one of what I believe to be a Benjamin explosion proof industrial light. The light is in good vintage shape. It came out of a grain co-op in Carlton. Oregon. One socket has a portion of the porcelain missing as shown in pic. These are designed to mount up with 1/2" NPT and can be easily adapted for outdoor use on porches, ceiling fans or interior accenting. Very cool retro industrial goodies. Especially cool if used with vintage light bulbs now being reproduced and sold at the big box hardware stores. My pictures show item as it is. Items are pre-owned and have been used. Please look over all pictures. I encourage insurance. However I have never had a problem with any getting to the buyer in good condition.
