KLEIN 1684-5 CABLE GRIP ~ WIRE LINE PULLER ~ 8000# ~ BELL SYSTEM TYPE FENCE TOOL
Offered is a slightly-used Klein 1684-5 cable or wire grip. This is a heavier tool rated for 8000 pounds. And will accept wire slightly over 1/2 inch. Being a Klein, it is of highest quality. I'd like to make it clear that Klein calls it a Bell System Type grip, but the tool is NOT so marked. I use a slightly smaller one for building fence. With these, you can pull quite hard without damaging the wire. The grip is about 15 inches long in the closed position and weighs a little over 6 pounds. The shackle will accept a 1-1/4 inch line. It looks to be little-used. There is no damage or deformation anywhere. There is minor plating loss. Slight surficial corrosion and a little light rust on the spring. That spring is strong and the joints of the device are snug. Please look the pictures over closely.
