The drill works. 1) battery will not hold a charge and(1) battery holds a weak charge. These are the original batteries that came with the set in 2010. The batteries have never held a very good charge. The charger works, as the red light will blink while charging the battery and goes to a steady red when charged. The drill has not been used very much, due to the batteries not holding a charge. We are going back to a corded drill. Due to the issues with the batteries on these drills. These are the 18V cordless 1/2" drive DeWalt VSR drill/driver and Heavy Duty Impact wrench tools with good batteries. As can be seen in the pictures they have been used but both work good. The batteries charge and work well but I can't guarantee their lifetime. I can only say that they currently work well. They are the XR and XR+ versions. I do not have a household charger for them but I do have a new auto charger that has only been used a few times and works great to charge these and many other DeWalt batteries. The charger will charge 7.2V- 18V batteries in about an hour. The drill and charger fit in a DeWalt case that was for another tool but has been modified to work for this drill. The impact driver has a pin to prevent the socket from pulling off. Drill is a few years old. I've owned a few DeWalt drills and they all seem to run forever. So I hesitate to say that the drill is only in good working condition. How about as good as the day I purchased the bare tool at a local garage sale when it was in"Excellent" condition? Cosmetically the drill is in very good condition- a little light wear on the body and chuck. The charger. Battery and case are in"Like New" condition. They were all purchased after I obtained the drill. The battery is from 2012(see picture 6) so is at the beginning of its useful life. I want to emphasize that there is only 1 battery in this auction not two. This is not a complete kit(DCD760KL)
