It is the CAT III version which many people refer to as the Fluke 87 II because it was produced after the 87. The first model was not a CAT III model and why Fluke didn't call this one the 87 II, escapes me. It came out of industrial stores where is was kept on a calibration cycle. This unit is VERY nice AND it comes with nice extras. The Fluke yellow holster is in good shape. The Topcase and bottomcase are also in great shape with no signs of previous ownership such as names, s, etc. The input bridge does have missing insulation on the positive port but it does not diminish the meter operation at all. The lense is in nice condition and the display is in great shape, with no signs of decay. The display assembly was upgraded with the advanced ... moreelastomers so there are many good years of usage ahead. New are the battery and fuses. It comes with a nice set if new non-fluke CAT III probes, a Quick Reference Guide, a paper factory copy of the User's Manual, and a CD with the Fluke 87 series meters. Ser# 59840106 NOTE: of late I have seen many sellers either not enclosing the battery or not updating them. also not noting that fuses are bad. Changing batteries and fuses is one of the most common causes of case damage on Fluke meters. Price these fuses. Even on Ebay they are expensive! If the seller says they can't put batteries in their meters because of the post office or laws, they are NOT right. there are no such restrictions on these meter batteries EXCEPT for Lithium Ion. Too many times. Meters are sold on Ebay which do have the battery or you get one that is depleted. Channel Master 1009IFD Digital Satellite Signal Meter
Item is used and works. Only problem is the internal battery does not hold a charge. I'm sure you can buy or make one. I have not opened to look. The previous owner installed a second adapter plug on the body. These units would only run on batteries and the existing plug was only to charge, not power the unit. The 2nd plug installed powers the unit(but does not charge the battery, use the original for that) Unit works fine and had an update done to it to pick up the newer HD satellites. I have been unable to locate the AC adapter for it so you may have to find one for it. If it turns up I will include with unit. I will also note in auction if this is found. It does include the protective carry case. These are hard to find as those with them are holding on to them. I just happen to have two.
