Lambda C-281 tube power supply for tube amp
For sale is a Lambda C-281 high voltage tube power supply. This supply provides from 125vdc to 325vdc as well as 6.5vac at 10A. The DC output is adjustable by means of a potentiometer on the back. The tube complement is as follows: 2 x 5U4G. 6 x 6W6GT, 2 x 12AX7 and 1 x 5651. This supply powers up and functions but has a peculiar fault. It seems to provide too much DC voltage. For example, on the 125vdc-175vdc setting I measured ~350vdc and on the 175vdc-225vdc setting I measured ~400vdc. I am not sure why this is the case. I believe it to be a circuit level fault as I replaced all of the tubes with no change. I am looking to make some space and so I do not have time to diagnose this further.
