Antique Sheffield Pearl Handle Pastry Knives and Forks in Wood Case
Set of Antique Sheffield Pearl Handle Pastry Forks and Knives(6 each) in Wood Case. The blades of the knives read"P&M SHEFFIELD" The wood case is approximately 8 3/4 X 6 1/4 X 1 7/8 inches. The case is in good shape with decorative clasp with the back which appears to be leather paper is scraped and missing in some areas. The corner joints seem to have a slight space in some of them. The forks and knives seem to have crusty old hide glue in some of the joints. The silver is slightly tarnished but I did not want to take a chance on cleaning them. They have been stored in our cabinet for over 30 years. Inasmuch as we are downsizing and moving to another state. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

The design on the handle has fine detail on both the front and the back. The blade has a French grey finish and is expertly hand engraved with florals, French inspired curves, and a cartouche. My best guess is 800 silver. I do not want to nick this piece or damage it in any way to test the metal, as it is in such fine condition. Offered is this lovely set of SIX Adelphi Heirloom Plate silverplated pastry or pie forks. All pieces are monogrammed with R. The Adelphi pattern was offered by Wm. A. Rogers in the early 1920s. The company now is owned by Oneida. The décor at the end of the handle features a Grecian urn and a wreath above. A design associated with the Art Nouveau period about 1900. A foliage design flows down the handle. The forks feature a garland above the tines. We have purchased a large service of this pattern. With many specialty pieces and serving pieces. Set of 12 Salad or Pastry Forks in Wm Rogers Mfg Co 1953 JUBILEE Pattern
This is a lot or set of 12 vintage matching silver plated salad or pastry or dessert forks in the JUBILEE pattern. Each just over 6⅜" long. The set was manufactured by WM ROGERS MFG. CO. AA- I.S. INTERNATIONAL SILVER COMPANY) and it dates back to 1953. There are no monograms on the forks. This is a relatively heavy. Very substantial set of silver- and, according to my silverware book, a very commonly collected pattern as well. It's really lovely, with a beautiful raised floral and petaled pattern on the end of each handle(see photos below) The lady from whom I acquired it told me that her mother had received these forks( the rest of the JUBILEE flatware set) as a wedding gift in the mid-1950s. It is affixed with the logo of Ladies Circle- Great Britain& Ireland(please see pictures) It is marked E P N S and Made in England on the reverse. After research. I found another one of these were made by Davis& Sons. This pastry server measures 4 7/8" in length and 3" width.
