I purchased this and some other pieces in this style at an estate auction and cannot figure out the name of the pattern. If anyone knows I'd sure appreciate the help. The handles. Lid and lip are all accented with metallic gold trim. It's 7.5" long from handle to handle and approx. 4.75" wide and 4.25 at its tallest. There some light loss to the gold paint but otherwise it's in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. Antique/Vintage Hand Painted Nippon Vase Urn Beautiful Roses Double Handle
This listing is for an antique/vintage hand painted vase or urn. It measures about 6 ½ inches tall. 6 inches wide at the widest point, 2 ¾ inches across the base, and 5 ½ inches deep. There are no chips or cracks, but there is gold paint loss and a dark spot on the back neck are that is glazed over. And there is a dark spot on the top of the handle and the top rim. These appear to be manufacturing defects, probably from the firing of the vase. There are lovely roses painted on both the front and back, with detailed gold painting. The Nippon stamp is a nice clear mark. As with all antique and estate purchases. These items can show signs of wear. Please take care to examine all photos carefully, as these are a large part of the description. I am not an expert, but I will try to note any imperfections on my items. These lovely vintage vases are made of white pottery. Have double handles, vertical fluted lines and rose and flower bouquets across the front. They each stand slightly under 6 inches high and are 3 1/2 inches wide from handle to handle. They each have an unmarked, unglazed base. Produced during the mid 1900's. These vases are in exceptional condition with NO cracks. Chips or repairs. The floral decorations are intact and very brightly colored. All-over age crazing common in older pottery.
