Made to complement the Globe-Wernicke Company cabinetry/office furniture. Sides and top are fingerjoined. Hinges are original and in good working order- it looks like the brads on the hinges may have been repaired(bottom ones only) as they are iron and not brass. The box measures approx 5 1/2” wide x approx 3 1/4" deep and 4 1/8” tall. It was made to hold 5” x 3” index cards. Manufactured using 3/16” thick solid quartersawn wood throughout. Very good used condition. Has normal signs of wear for an item of this age that has been used. But if you know Steelcase. You know they are practically indestructible. All of the drawers move smoothly. May have some minor dings and some places that need a little 409 but other than that in good condition. I am going out of business and have 10 Steelcase desks for sale with various drawer configurations. This one has 2 drawers on each side, a regular drawer plus a filing drawer with the pencil drawer in the middle. I am going to try to photograph and list them all.
