Up for auction or buy-it-now is this awesome find from The Bryant Electric Company. It comes complete with original box. It's a single pole shallow type. Model 5501-L for locking. This switch was manufactured by The Bryant Electric Company between the years 1888 and 1901. In 1901 the name was changed to Bryant Electric after it was sold to Westinghouse and became a subsidiary of that company. This is truly a great find and a wonderful piece of electrical history! The switch is in perfect condition with no chips. Scratches or cracks of any kind. The images show some light staining of the porcelain; but holding it in your hand, it looks clean. The discoloration is enhanced by the camera and the magnification. It's free of scratches and discoloration. The mechanism of the switch is in perfect working order with absolutely no signs of ... morewater damage or corrosion. When actuated. The switch makes a quality, solid and reassuring click. The spring sounds strong and positive with no rattles. Both the switch and the box look and feel like they'd been stored in a cool. Dry place with care. The box is in excellent condition. Fender American Standard Precision Electric Bass Guitar with S-1 switch and HSC
I have a 2003 Fender USA Standard Precision bass. This bass features a black body with standard polyurethene finish. A black pickguard that is original to the bass, and a rosewood fretboard mounted on a maple neck. The case is a molded plastic Fender case, also original to the bass, in excellent condition with a fresh coat of Armor All for a nice shine. This case is the"machine gun" style case. Very rugged and compact in size. So you have a stock American Standard Precision bass, black-on-black color scheme with rosewood neck. This bass is in excellent condition. I gave it a very thorough cleaning and set-up. Including lubing the truss nut, which had become frozen and needed to be worked free of the rod with WD-40. I then lubed the assembly with lithium grease. The truss nut and rod now work perfectly. The nut turns very smoothly, ... morelike butter! This bass plays fantastically. I set it up dead flat. With zero neck relief, so the action is very low without any clanking or buzzing. The frets are level and are in good shape. For the safety and integrity of the bass, and to comply with shipping requirements, I will loosen the truss nut and the strings. This will relieve tension on the truss rod during shipping. The truss rod is easily re-adjusted once it arrives to you. This bass was bought new in LA by the fella I bought it from. He is a Berklee music school grad and a full time professional teacher and performer here in the Silver Spring area. He used this bass extensively for recording and some gigging. It shows corresponding normal wear for its age. The pics will show what I mean by that exactly. There are no chips or gauges. The wear is limited to superficial surface scratches on the finish and headstock road rash. The headstock is in overall good shape, nothing noticeable except up close, see pics. Six Vintage electric electric light switch push button toggle steampunk
You are bidding on a group of six vintage electric light switches. They are porcelain/ceramic body. Three are toggle type and three are pushbutton. All seem to operate OK and I don’t see evidence of severe arcing. All are single-pole. Except for one of the push-button type is a 3-way. It has chips off two corners of the porcelain-see photo. The other two push-button switches have what looks to be mother-of pearl inlay on one button. Thanks for looking! I am not a business. Just a homeowner trying to clear out a variety of accumulated personal items.
