VINTAGE MARKED BRADLEY HUBBARD BOOKEND CAST IRON DICKENS DOOR STOP BRASS BRONZE
SHIPS WORLDWIDE! Stately and heavy! This piece is made of metal and has the B&H foundry mark(Bradley& Hubbard) on the back. It has the bust of Dickens. Hence the thought it is a bookend. Due to its weight, would make a great doorstop as well since it weighs almost 3 1/2 pounds. The piece is about 5" wide by 6.5" tall and 2.5" deep, being the larger piece made by B&H it is harder to come by. Some of the original felt is still on the bottom. In good used condition with patina and some signs of age and use. The metal looks to be a brass or bronze color with the weight of cast iron. I'm told these were cast iron pieces. Vintage Pre-1954 Metal Red Painted STOP Sign
Originating in Detroit. Michigan in 1915, the earliest stop sign had black letters on a white background and was somewhat smaller in size than the one today. Attempting to design a unique sign to prevent uncertainty, the AASHO devised a unique octagonal shape that would alert drivers to stop. In 1924 the stop sign was changed to black on yellow, which was the prevailing color until 1954. This stop sign still shows traces of yellow peeking through the hippy red paint- indicating it originated prior to 1954. This impressive piece of Americana makes a bold yet whimsical statement in any room of your home or office and would be the piece de resistance in any collection of Americana or industrial signage. This auction is for 2 vintage traffic signs. One is a 2 sided stop sign that measures 18" x 18" Not counting the mounting bracket on side. The other is a reversible stop on one side and slow on the other side. It measures 18" x 18" as well. In photos the slow side appears yellow, but is actually orange. Scrim Jim 72"x72" Frame with 3/4 stop fabric
This is the 72x72 inch scrim jim frame with the 3/4 stop fabric. Everything is in good condition. The fabric is very clean with no rips and the velcro is all intact. It's had pretty light use. They call this a 3/4 stop fabric but it is fairly thin for a scrim material. It lets enough light through still give you some shadows and contouring. It isn't thick enough to provide a complete knock out of the shadows but it works perfect for some lighting situations. Let me know if you have any questions.

VERY NICE 1960 s MURANO GLASS DOORSTOP These old doorstops are very hard to find. Most of the Murano doorstops were Millefiori cane style glass. This piece is a very deep cobalt color. The pics appear lighter blue than actual color. We have always displayed this piece in a shelf or case. It doesnt have to be used as a doorstop. The art piece is in the desig n of a pumpkin. With a bronze colored adveruntine in the stem portion. This is the only one we have seen of this style and especially this deep cobalt blue. The piece weighs 6.5 pounds and stands nearly 8 inches tall and 8 inches at widest point. The bottom is polished with a cored hole. There are no cracks or chips, just a few light scuffs on bottom. This vintage can has good color, no dents, surface rust and stains from contents. This can could probably be wiped off and cleaned to present a very nice old gas-oil related tin. This can has been used and does show signs of wear and use from age. There are punched holes in the bottom of can. This old TEXACO tin can measures: 3 1/4" inches tall x 2 3/4" inches in diameter.
